Why is the book so much different from the audio ?

I feel that this audio book missed the mark . I feel that it miss whole sections of the hard copy of the book .. and well I found that it left the audio book incomplete and well not good .. that hard copy of the book is so much better.

nice easy first steps for meditation

I enjoyed practicing with this guide. easy and peaceful. no pressure. great narrative and pace

table of contents needs update

I purchased this audiobook after first checking it out from my local library. My libraries table of contents is much better, it has names for each section/chapter such as “intro to week 1” and “meditation 1” which is super helpful in doing the 8 week course since you are going back and forth between meditations and instructions on the different weeks. For some reason Audible only has standard chronological numbers for the chapter names. The content is good otherwise.

I laughed when I should have been still

Seriously! I tried the exercises while making self be still on couch. My sweetheart kept asking what was so funny. I kept laughing at the absurdity of trying to be fully aware of my body and its nerve endings. Oh well, it was fun to try. Meditation has never been my strong suit.

Missing a written outline for the 8 week program

Any additional comments?

Really good content - but VERY hard to follow up and practice the detailed steps for the 8 week program. It would be so simple for the authors/publisher to include an 8 page pdf - a single page outline for each of the weekly steps. I was going to gift this audiobook to a friend, but not w/o the written support materials. Too bad ;-(

Would you listen to Mindfulness again? Why?

Yes, I would listen and re-listen to it many times. It is to the point and gives great insight to what mindfulness is about and how it can help.

An Amazing Start!

What made the experience of listening to Mindfulness the most enjoyable?

As a beginner to meditation and mindfulness, I found this book to be calming to go through and easy to understand. It provides exercises and a great plan to give it a go. I am still a beginner in my path to integrating mindfulness and meditation into my life, but I now feel more confident about it. Many of my previous questions have been answered, along with questions I did not know I had. There were also examples to hammer points home.

In short, it was a great introduction, being both soothing to listen to and concise.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The exercises at the end were an incredible touch. I have a hard time finding quality mindfulness and meditation exercises at my level.

It changes your life moment by moment

An excellent book and an even better audiobook as Mark Williams guide you through 8 weeks of meditation and enables any reader an opportunity to cultivate stillness. Every patient with anxiety and depression should have a prescription for this book.

Excellent listen! Great guided meditations incl.

Love it! I re-listen to a guided meditation just about every morning. Great way to start the day and they never get old.
