"Narcissism - the relationship issue of our times." In Help! I’m in Love With a Narcissist, narrated with tender concern and in a helpful and plainspoken way by Steven Menasche, the listener who loves someone who love themselves more is cordially counseled on the different ways to build a workable, long-term relationship with such significant others obsessed with their own self.
Several different narcissistic relationship scenarios are told and discussed, ultimately leading to this self-help audiobook’s viewpoint that the road to loving a narcissist isn’t easy, but it’s navigable. Written by the best-selling authors of Men Who Can’t Love.
Written with the compassionate language that people have come to rely upon and expect from these proven relationship experts, this book goes beyond an explanation of the condition to help men and women avoid the self-destructive permanence of remaining with people incapable of loving anyone but themselves.

These questions are not really applicable to what I would like to say, thus I will ignore them.
My husband has recently been diagnosed with NPD.
This booked both shocked and scared me.
Shocked - because it is as if it was written about and partly by my husband, who could be the textbook examples of how Narcissistic think and act and what dramas they cause.
It scared me - because, it undermined my understanding of the idea, that people are able to make rational decisions and choices in their behaviours.
It is as if Narcissists emotional responses were limited to a set number or pre programmed reactions, none of which are rational,
This book spells hard but honest truth about Narcissists and the nature of their disorder, and it should be the Must Read for every mother to be and every teenage son or daughter, prior to their first relationship.
