    "Nothing new, very superficial"

First of all the book is too preachy. If you can set aside the fact that is written for christian audience it can be tolerable. But the real issue is that the book doesn't offer the level of depth, insight and action to really face true half time challenges. Rather is the story of a rich man who lost his son and decided to dedicate full time to his church.

"GREAT BOOK AS ONE JOURNEYS THROUGH LIFE!"
What did you love best about Halftime?

For people that have lived enough life that they are at a point where they may be asking "Is this all there is to life?", it is very helpful in answering that question.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bob Buford, the author of the book. He was real.

What about Max Bloomquist’s performance did you like?

    Very easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    No.

    "Over simplistic"

I guess I should have paid closer attention to the other reviews on this site. The book gave me two things that could have been included in a pamphlet: 1) Put one thing in the "box"; and 2) List your past competencies and passions. The author claims that he put a J in the box instead of a $. Life decisions are not this black and white. As a Christian, I am guessing that Bob Buford already had a J in his box... Just because you operate a profitable business does not mean that you are so single-minded as to only focus on money. Jesus has and always will be part of my life. I am trying to decide where to apply my experience, and expertise after a long life of working hard in a career. This book did not help me with that decision.
