Really love this message. So many great stories and practical application. Highly recommend for anyone building a team.

This book helped me reframe a career transition

The book not only dropped at exactly when I needed it, but the message also spoke directly to a change of attitude I needed. I thought success was going to be in a job transition I was making, but when life didn't align with my definition of success, this book made me realize I don't need the spotlight. I started looking at who I am here for, and I realized that the impact I had was not in my position at the company. Instead, it is in how I build a winning team with everyone I come in contact with.

The other idea that resonated with me is that this attitude is a tension to be managed, not just a problem that, once I think about it differently, I'll never feel the old way again. No, I know that I can make a conscious choice to get out of a bad headspace when I'm heading there. I've been through the book first for pleasure, and now I'm going through it for taking notes and applying. Well, I've already applied a lot, but I can do even more.
