"... prepare yourself for some rather startling and truly marvelous results." (New Age Journal)
"I do believe, and I have seen in my own life, that Creative Visualization works." (Oprah Winfrey)
The concepts are simple but have helped me change my life forever. Imagine how wonderful you would like for your life to be and it will soon be that way.
The primary thing that limits us is ourselves, not our circumstances. Shakti explains techniques for establishing goals and how to allow them to materialize.
This way of thinking has helped be get a mechanical engieering degree, design equipment, get the most wonderful wife in the world, hit my target yearly income level, and so many other daily things. The techniques are amazingly simple, but even after 10 years, I still see how I limit myself for no good reason. (I read this book originally ~10 years ago). Listening to it again has renewed a creative inspiration, hope for an even better tomorrow.
I pray Shakti is recieving some of the good she has put out to the universe.
Say something about yourself!
I listened to Gawain's Guided Imagery recordings a long time ago on cassettes and liked her work. I had high hopes when I saw this recording here on Audible and all the great reviews that went with it. To me, it just wasn't up to my expectations and in parts I found the message judgmental and misinformed.
For example, Gawain must have limited experience both personally and with people she has worked with when it comes to illness and disease. The idea that people make themselves "sick" because they can't rest and "have a break" any other way is both ludicrous and offensive. If you have ever been seriously ill or worked with patients suffering from chronic or life threatening illness they are NOT "resting" when they are bed bound. They are in pain &/or too weak to do anything else. There is nothing suffering people want more than to feel better and get back to activities of living. It is negative and unhelpful to suggest anything else in this recording.
I believe strongly in the mind/body link and the need for healing and positive visualizations and meditation during times of both wellness and illness. It is powerful medicine. I just found that this program completely missed the mark and I can't recommend it--especially if you are currently suffering a health set back. There are better programs out there.
I keep this one on my Otis at all times. I can be stressed out at work, put on my head phones and explore a calmer, nicer world. I often repeat the the gratitude phrases along with the speaker. I would recommend to most any one who would want to destress their life. I especially like the audio part of this paticular book. You can close your eyes and wander with the speaker. Pretty much I would give it a five star rating
I have listened to this title three times and confess that I keep adding to my notes and enjoy it each time. The author has a pleasant and clear voice, even though she lacks an enthusiastic and engaging delivery. She tends to be just a touch monotonous at times and sounds like someone simply reading, rather than perhaps the author herself speaking to you, as you might expect from a title that is read by an author. This is only a very minor issue and may not bother the majority of listeners.
Overall the book contains excellent advice and information and is a useful tool for self development. I can heartily recommend it. The sound quality was very good in the highest quality mode I used to download.
Everyone is the world needs a copy of this book or to listen to it. We create our own realities and Shakti teaches us how to create them even easier. This book is easy to listen to and easy to understand. I wouldn't have the same better life without it. Creative visualization is real and the sooner you accept that, the better off you will be. Enjoy!!
Yes, b/c she teaches you how to meditate and it would be hard holding a book and doing it. Much better to be able to listen and follow (earphones). I had this book on tape many years ago when I was going through a very, very rough time. I listened over and over to it. I did the meditations, the pink bubble method of creative visualization and the affirmations. It just turned my life right around and got me to thinking 100 % more positive and great things started coming to me in many different ways. Then a few years later my mother was going through a horrible time too. I gave her a copy of it. Then somehow she lost it so I gave her my original and she lost it too :( So, I've been wanting another one for a while and couldn't find and just recently I discovered Audible.com and got it from there. It's still wonderful and so helpful! I'm so glad to have it again!
Everything about it was memorable. The pink bubble technique of Creative Visualization is probably the thing that stands out the most for me. It changed my life.
Well, she didn't perform so to speak but she is the reader of her own book and she has the most relaxing, peaceful voice you can imagine. She just puts you immediately at ease.
Change your life!
Must have if you are at a tough spot in your life or even if you are not. If you just would love to have change. This is the audio book for you. If you love life and you love how it works, this is the thing for you. If you have lost touch with yourself or your spirituality, this is the audio book for you!
This is old, if you are just starting with this kind of venture it is great. If you have read more than your fair share then it is a waste of
time. Audio quality if fair to bad.
A serious waste of money and time. Do yourself a favor and find something else.
thought I was listening to one of the cnn drones.

Yes - I've listened to a few more productivity and mindset books, but never visions and visualisations - I felt this was a good intro, well read, but drifted a bit too much as well
