So far the best book I've read on improving communication skills in both work and personal life. Can definitely think of a lot of people in my life who would benefit from reading/listening to this book.
Helps a person such as I, who has had minimal social interaction see the social world from different lens which will enrich your social interactions...but you must be proactive and do your part...put yourself out there and see/experience the difference.
This book was an easy listen. It provides many good tips to being an effective communicator. It helps you with your weaknesses and gives instruction on how you can be a better listener and better speaker with others around you.
Wasn't exactly what I was looking for but a good book nonetheless. I have listened to a book by this author before about emotional intelligence. One of the greatest books I have ever read. I was just looking for something different book. I was a little disappointed that the same error made in the other book by the audio reader was present in this book as well.
"excellent introduction to training strategy,
I bought this audioble half year ago when I first took a position in L&D. It was a great resource for me as I was starting out and having something to listen to whilst undlwinding for bed after my day at work.
However I have found the knowledge gained very valuable and it has made me realise the type of trainer I am and how I would like to be perceived.
Often I 'relisten to this book when starting a new training group and will always pick up new skills that I may have overlooked previously. Whilst covering the basic it also goes more in depth and it's helpful that the voice is relaxing and easy to listen to.
I have to thank the author as without this book I don't believe I would have progressed in the few short months in the way I have.
"One of the top 5 books that I read."
Hope to have more of this collection here. Great stuff! Thanks a lot! And the narrator is also great!
No one. The narrators voice is uninspiring, his intonation is all over the place, and there are extended pauses in the audio which should have been edited out. This is inexcusable for a book concerned with improving communication skills as it makes for very uncomfortable listening. If anything, this an example of how NOT to communicate.
Chosen a better narrator. I also found the style of writing to be clumsy and at times plain weird - possibly because the book has been translated.
He ruined it.
Having listened to many audio books this is very amateurish and to be avoided. I am surprised Audible sell it. The high scoring reviews for this audio book raise questions as to their authenticity.
"Very useful book"
This book is a concentrate of many self-development books I have read. It contained some of the most helpful ideas and tips I have come across. The pace of the reader makes it easier to follow the content read.
great book full of actual tips and steps, about human psychology. The best book I came across in the field. thanks , audio voice very good
The beginning is very interesting and keeps you glued to it.
Somewhere in the middle it got very monotonous, as if he was reading a very long list from a sheet, and I had to fast forward.
But besides that the book was great and definitely covered more than what I was expecting.
A book that I would recommend to close friends.
I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their communication skills may it be personal ,public or work related.
It is interestingly performed and I was looking forward to listen to it on my way to work each day
Thank you Ian for inspiring me and looking forward to many more books of yours
