This is an incredible tool. I tried to quit smoking a number of times with a variety of things from lozenges to e-cigs to painful force of will. Nothing worked like this book. The most powerful part of the book for me was him having us essentially meditate on what the cigarette does to you. As he is talking, he has you light one up and really think about it. That practice has helped me in a lot of ways. It's essentially just a basic lesson in detachment. That is, pull back from your situation and look at it objectively. If you continue observing your world the way he instructs in this book then you will get more from it than just quitting smoking. It is really a good way to live.
Sorry to sound ambivalent but the narration is far to quick with less emphasis on how easy it is ( tongue in cheek). This rendition left me anxious and buying a packet quicker than I had expected. Somewhat akin to the tempo and tenor of the narrator

I was not pressured into stop smoking. No have a smoke here, or now let's go without a cigarette for X hours, or you can only have X amounts of smokes a day.
It would have taking me longer to either read the book or even pick the book up.
This is just a straight up and straight forward book. I was a heavy smoker and this book is great. After a week of reading it I decided on action. this book will not lecture you or pressure you in any kind of way. I have stopped smoking over a year ago and have no urge to start again, I feel awesome, and could kick myself for not reading it earlier. I have no problem sitting with smokers and I am not the worst none smoker (nagging all the smokers about how bad it is for them) after stopping to smoke. I simply do not care for it anymore. I can only highly recommend this book, if you have thoughts, or are serious about stop smoking.
Personality: Intellectually Driven
This is definitely the stop smoking reference guide, as it does a great job explaining the whys and hows of the addiction. As with many other habits, ignorance is the main cause. Even if you don't stop smoking your understanding will make you see the habit from a different perspective. I would highly recommend the live seminar too as it include a hypnosis session. But off course the cost is greater.

this book has probably saved my life. I had given up trying to give up and this really was a last ditched attempt and one I had little faith in right to the end. not only has giving up been easy but enjoyable. I can't quite bbelive it. a micacle!

I can't believe the mind shift I've had whilst listening to this book, it throws all the myths about smoking and stopping smoking out the window and lets you change your own reality. 12 years of smoking, and I am delighted to say that after this book - I am a proud non-smoker! Great book. Recommended. Just read listen, you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Although I have not managed to listen to the whole book yet it is having a slow but operative effect. It may work better when I finally get to the end.
