Cute little story

The protagonist is a bit self centered but aren’t we all these days? I love love love the narrator Xe Sands. If you have a chance to listen to her beautifully moving reading of The Murmur of Bees, do not pass it up. It is such a gut wrenching story. A good friend of mine wounding talk to me for a little while because he was so troubled by something that happens near the end of the story. You get so invested. This was a wonderful little listen this weekend while I was sick.

Enjoyed the story and loved the narration! Xe Sands is the best! I would listen to her read the phone book.

Good Story

A bit sanctimonious at times and a bit draggy in places but good storyline and characters.

Relatable and entertaining

Xe Sans delivers once again. Story was entertaining and kept my attention. Would have been a little better if there was more snap that happens to Jane, but still enjoyed it very much.

Heartbreaking but wonderful

I was not expecting such a deep, but unfortunately true to life story.
I chose this because Xe Sands is my absolute favorite female narrator, no matter what she is reading.. if not for her narration , I don’t know that I could have listened to the book. It is not a story to really love but one that delves into our society’s struggle to accept the pain and hardships the LGBTQ’s community endures.

Heartwarming & Entertaining

There's so much going on with Jane and her family. Between her over-scheduled life, teenage daughter, and husband’s secret - it’s no surprise she snapped.

I really enjoyed this story about family, love, friendship, forgiveness and acceptance. Xe Sands tells it masterfully. I liked experiencing Jane’s journey, and seeing her figure out how to deal with her life in a happier way.

Great story with lots of heart.

Great story

Wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was a relatable story about what some human endure and keep bottled up for the sake of others, and the pain and resentment that unfolds. Sometimes in life we hear stories like this to help us through our own struggles.

Laugh out loud!

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. Relatable with unexpected turns & laugh out loud moments. Glad this book was chosen to read for my book club!

Love the narrator

Honestly I bought the book because of the narrator, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Parts of it were laugh out loud out loud funny. The character was relatable, and anyone who has ever tried to be a super mom will recognize themselves at some point.
