Publisher's summary

Passing through the Vampire Gate, Elorion enters the true heart of the Underworld for the first time.

The sooner he completes his mission, the sooner he and the girls can return home. The task is impossible at his current level, so he follows the lich down the only viable path. A path laden with bodies and blood.

Keeps getting bigger and better

Progression continues in this story. Challenges increase but so do the rewards. It's just a great story to listen to.

Truly an amazing story

I love how it includes multiple characters but solely follows the main character. I love the mystery of the world build and how it’s being opened little by little so it doesn’t get old. The characters progression is steady and not to fast. I find it very easy to guess what’s going to happen in most books and shows. With this series i truly don’t know what’s coming next. My only complaint is i don’t have the next book yet!

Getting Back to It

After the previous book in this series got a little stale (but still good), this book reminded me why I like the series so much.

Introducing a host of new characters and so huge plot twists, the story gets back to being about people. The main group may not be the characters in question, but the new characters are real. Friendships are made. Tragedies strikes. All of it impacts the characters.

On the one hand, it is the perfect place to end the series. In the other hand, it is the perfect place for the next book to start. I lament that too much detail is given of Eris’s time with the succubi, as I would have liked to read that spin-off.

Overall, I am as excited about the the series as I was after the first book.

More Eris, please!

Best so far in the series

I was hesitant to buy the subsequent books after reading comments that characters were over powered. This book does a great job in explaining that. I would tell you how, but no spoilers here. So good I listened twice… oh, and please hurry with the next in the series.

WOW

I have been enjoying this story so much that I thought it couldn't get any better. Then this book comes out and hits me over the head with emotions. I'm not going to bother with the details much just know this book I'd the best in the series by far.

The best in the series yet

I feel like this is definitely the best in the series yet I feel like I've got two books for the price of one there was good structure good character development good characterization lots of fights like the magic I really feel like the author is laying out the the background for more books to come and it not getting in the way of the main characters current plot which is often what happens in these type of things it a bunch of extraneous stuff is drug in and it feel it's a bunch of filler that drag things down and doesn't move things forward and you're bored wait for the action to start again and he managed to work it in here and such a way that it was all to the good I'm really looking forward to seeing the next books in the series I have a lot of speculation that I'd like to go into but I can't for fear of spoilers. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the main character further develops his powers and the other stuff that he's going to the other how the other main characters are going to develop recommend 10 out of 10. PS I wrote this whole review using voice to text so if it sucks sorry for my lack of punctuation and crap but I'm at work and just knocking this out cuz I listen to the audiobook form of it.

Good progression in the series

I have enjoyed the series so far. Although most of the OG cast weren’t in most of this story, I’ve liked the new introductions. Hope it continues.

Loved the book and series

I hope there will be another book. really love this series and the jokes. Although I also love the books with adult humour I also enjoy the fact that this series is relatively clean. The characters have great progression and even the lich warmed up in his own way. Without giving too much spoilers, I cried about Travis and grown to like the character and his interactions with other characters and even Shamash.
I really hoped Elorion would invite his other friends to the wedding... it's only fitting that they be there too.
Props to the voice actor too. Although I rarely comment on it mainly because I won't listen to a book if I can't stand the narrator, his performance is excellent. There were a few breaths I thought should be edited out as it was the actor breathing and not the character but that's not the actor's fault.
From what I can tell the book is relatively family friendly and although there is more than enough to psychoanalysis even on an adult level, I doubt any real adult themes would be added. With that said, I hope the author would add a homosexual couple especially since the guys outnumber the girls.
