BETTER than the movies!
This book (and all sequals) adds so much meat to the bare bones of the movies. The asides and monologues give so much depth to the plot and characters, while still being very true to the movies.
The performances are amazing with different voices for each character who SOUND AMAZINGLY LIKE THE ORIGINAL ACTORS! how did they do that!??!?

Splendid combination
People laughed at me when I said I wanted to listen to this because they didn't think it would be understandable or relatable. I love Star Wars. I enjoy Shakespeare. So, why not?! Great job with staying true to the movies while bringing the story to life through Shakespearean style. At one point I commented to myself how whiny C3P0 and Luke sounded, then I realized, THEY WERE LIKE THAT IN THE MOVIE TOO! LOL
The voices are great. Easy to follow. Nice sounds effects. Artoo made me chuckle. Love the inner monologue of the characters. Can't wait to start the next one!

Love it
I saw Star Wars on opening night in 1977 and have been avid fan ever since. This was a hoot! Everything i love about Star Wars with serious fun added. I couldn't help laughing and wooting and just enjoying myself through the whole thing. I could see every scene in my mind and never spoiled by the performance.
