Refreshingly great!!
January LaVoy’s best performance yet!! It also helps that the story was written during a time where they cared more about the quality of both the individual story as well as the over arching story of the star wars universe. Unlike the hot mess of garbage that is the majority of the new cannon material, they built the star wars universe from the inside out letting political struggles, ethical issues, etc. form naturally without compromising the star wars story. To many of the new stories try to force the star wars story around the current political “hot topics”. If I want to be reminded of all of the political divisions and stresses we are going through currently there are plenty of other books I can read. When I read/listen to a star wars book I want to be transported to a galaxy far far away. Which in my opinion is one of the key aspects of a good star ways story. That is why I am so glad they are coming out with the EU books as unabridged and narrated by incredible talent such as January LaVoy and Marc Thompson. Keep it up!!!

Pure fun!
A joy to read and a joy to listen to. I love the early era pre-prequels EU books, where the creators were figuring things out and exploring the Galaxy far far Away. The author draws from the classic pulp well and balances the fantasy and science fiction elements of the franchise perfectly. This one introduces some elements that were to become fan favorites, including Dathomir, the witches, the Nightsisters, Zinge and the Iron Fist which figured so well in the X-Wing books, and it was a delight to see Han and Leia getting together.
The narrator was perfect, and I dearly hope Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight are made into unabridged audios next, and that this narrator is tapped to read. Possibly the same with Truce at Bakura.

Fantastic!
I’d been stuck with the three-hour abridged version for years, so I was very excited to have this unabridged version. This is my favorite Star Wars book. The story is excellent, and the narration was very well done. I will be listening to this again in the future!

A great story in the galaxy far far away
I really enjoyed this audio book. the story and characters were great. The voice actor was good. I do wish it was Mark Thompson but honestly she did great, just didn't quiet get Han right.

One of the BEST Star Wars Novels
I have been an avid reader of Star Wars Books for over thirty years, especially the Expanded Universe books, and The Courtship of Princess Leia has always been one of my favorites. I’ve been waiting, and hoping, for years for an unabridged audio version of this novel, so when I saw it pop up in Audible in January 2023, I had to get it and start listening right away. What a GREAT story. And I was extremely impressed with the narrator, January LaVoy. She was the perfect narrator for this novel; I can only hope she gets invited back to narrate more Star Wars books. Great Job!!

A REALLY strange but surprisingly entertaining romp
I ended up enjoying this book way more than I thought. I always heard that this book was kinda dumb for the relationship drama and it's weird that it led into a much more action packed plot, but the drama was well written enough and it's interesting to see the origins of the Night sisters and Dathomir from the clone wars show. I liked it :3

I love this book. Witches of Darhomir. Hapans. Kidnapping. A very great quest for our hero Luke and his companions!
Some the stuff is dated! The 1990’s were a better simpler time.
