i feel like there getting back on track with SW books. the last series was not in depth enough and felt like a cheap pocket book. but i thought this author who writes allot of SW books pulled it back in line in this novel. this series has a little direction now. and im glad they are offering SW books unabridged now.

This one takes a turn from the first two and has a very dark, creepy feeling to it--which works! It's a nice change of pace and gives the story new depth. And the haunting music is really outstanding!
I definitely felt the "hungry purple tentacles" runing up my spine!
Once again, Marc Thompson does a tremendous job narrating. This is not a series to miss!
I am really liking this series of books and this is another gem. Reading some of the older books were pretty hit or miss but I think they have the proven authors working on some very good plots now. The only problem I had with this audio was in the second file, at one hour and twenty-nine minutes in (format 4 I believe). The audio skipped and I missed a little bit of the action, I do not think it was very much but that still disappointed me a little bit.
Marc Thompson is THE single best narrator for Star Wars I have ever heard. His characters are so believable and recognizable. Amazing series and can't wait for the next one.
Abyss was a good listen. Really got the imagination going. Had to rewind a few times to give a second listen to parts. The story gets better with Leia. I have been waiting to see Leia flex her strength. You get a glimpse of it here.

Ben Skywalker: Very strategic thinking for a teen. His character always keep me smiling.
Don't want to give anything away. The story takes a turn to the odd, but I have a feeling more will be reveled in future books.
Book 3 follows well from books 1 and 2, and I'm enjoying most of the different plot lines. I will say that Luke and Ben Skywalker's adventure in the Maw was a little difficult to follow via the audio version, but it basically makes sense.
The story is endless, it sucks you in from the very beginning and leaves you wanting more..
All of it...
He is the voice of these Jedi novels..
Left me needing to get any follow up novels...
I loved every minute of this book. I enjoyed the first book in the series (Outcast) but was deeply disappointed in the second (Omen) however Abyss is by far the best yet in the Fate of the Jedi series. Luke and Ben were written to perfection and their story was my favourite part of the book. We also get to see more depth to Han, Leia, Allana, Jag and Jaina. The story with the Sith had some great character development and it was great to see so much from their perspective and at last we see the backstabbing and treachery that we expect from Sith. Also we get a sinister introduction to a very old and dark enemy that seems to be the key to the entire series. As usual the audio quality and read are superb. I whole heartily recommend this book and hope that the rest of the series can maintain this level of excitement and character development.
"Fate of the Jedi: Abyss"
I have so far really enjoyed the whole Fate of the Jedi series.
I thought Outcast was better than Omen, but if you enjoyed either of the previous you will certainly like Abyss - especially the Luke & Ben Skywalker story thread.
It's really gripping and great fun!
"Another awesome instalment .."
Excellent continuing story and production is faultless. I love the different character voices and sound effects. I really draws you in. This series is a must buy. You won't be disappointed.
