Publisher's summary

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper Extraordinaire, is back in this sexy, suspenseful novel of supernatural shenanigans.

When Charley is rudely awakened in the middle of the night by her best friend who tells her to get dressed quickly and tosses clothes out of the closet at her, she can’t help but wonder what Cookie’s up to. Leather scrunch boots with a floral miniskirt? Together? Seriously?

Cookie explains that a friend of hers named Mimi disappeared five days earlier and that she just got a text from her setting up a meet at a coffee shop downtown. They show up at the coffee shop, but no Mimi. But Charley finds a message on the bathroom wall. Mimi left a clue, a woman’s name. Mimi’s husband explains that his wife had been acting strange since she found out an old friend of hers from high school had been found murdered a couple weeks prior. The same woman Mimi had named in her message.

Meanwhile, Reyes Alexander Farrow (otherwise known as the Son of Satan. Yes. Literally) has left his corporeal body and is haunting Charley. He’s left his body because he’s being tortured by demons who want to lure Charley closer. But Reyes can’t let that happen. Because if the demons get to Charley, they’ll have a portal to heaven. And if they have a portal to heaven… well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be pretty. Can Charley handle hot nights with Reyes and even hotter days tracking down a missing woman? Will Cookie ever get a true fashion sense? And is there enough coffee and chocolate in the world to fuel them as they do?

Loving this serise

I'm a big fan of this series. Book two held my attention just as much as the first and I'm salivating for book three. I simply love the main character. Charlie is sassy, spunky, and quite the spitfire. If I had to meet the Grim Reaper, she's exactly who I'd want to meet! (And the performer who reads the brings life to the characters in the Audible.com version is simply marvelous. I frequently wipe tears of laughter from my eyes.)

Love This series

Not much to say however, I do love this series. My new favorite author. Her humorous writing is hilarious, witty and unique. Lorelei is an excellent narrator for this series.

My advice, if you luv urban fantasy with a different twist, get this book. Each character in this is well thought out and has a "voice" of their own.

Highly recommend this series.

Really good addition to the series :)

4-4.5 stars

This was a really good addition to the series. Charley's BFF, Cookie, pulls her (literally) into a case involving multiple murders and a missing woman. In the mean time, Reyes' corporal body is trapped by demons and he thinks it will be safer to let it die, thinking he can continue to exist without it. Charley isn't so sure and wants to stop him from dying. She has a lot on her plate as she handles both issues along with some smaller stuff thrown in. I am still liking Charley as a character and am finding it interesting to see her powers start to develop and grow. The mystery is wrapped up in the end but things between Charley and Reyes left unresolved.

I really enjoyed this story. I like Charley and the feel of the stories in general. There lots of action and things going on to keep the story interesting with a good dose of emotion thrown in here and there. I'd recommend this story and am reading the next book in the series ASAP. :D
