A time to recover. A chance to make a new ally. A brief respite to repair and rearm. An opportunity for a people to regain their honor. For every civilization there comes a moment when a stand must be made against tyranny. The time has come for the Alliance to draw a line in the sand.

Yes by far and even better then the text to speech version
I read all 9 books in the series and then listen to all 9 books with my son using text to speech. We both love this series... My son saw that this book had a special whispersync price of $2.99 since we already had the kindle version and bought the audible version. He told me that the audible version was a 100 times better than the text to speech version. These books are too short to waste our credits, too expensive to buy so we are hoping to get them during an audible special.
Yes, definitely. I am already reading the next in the series.
The Slaver War series is similiar and also very exciting.
A method of incorporating a few illustrations showing the ship and it's layout would help in visualizing what the author is verbalizing would be helpful.
The narration is excellent.
Only complaint is the plot twist we could all see from miles away :) The various characters are what drew me into this story and its what continues to keep me interested. They have all grown up in a very short time. I cant wait for the next book as it seems to me that will be even more interesting to see how they handle coming home and what they find and the reaction to what they have done.
continuing story. still feel the first couple of books could have easily been combined 1&2, 3&4 would have kept pace better. still good enough to continue to see what happens next.
