Publisher's summary

The Eden Project was a dream. To start the first extra-solar colony... To avoid the mistakes of our past... To start anew.

Three generations, born and raised on a starship hurtling through space. To never know an open sky... To never feel the wind on their face... To never witness the sun rise or set.

It is up to the advance team to set foot on each of these worlds, conduct their surveys, and send their findings back to the colony ship. So many questions... So little time... Such an enormous responsibility.

Everything must go as planned, for the welfare of all the colonists depends on them.

Great story

Another great story by this author, loved it. Also Jeffery Kefer rocked the performance out of the park.

great story

I really enjoyed this. the end was a bit of a surprise. I saw a fair number of negative reviews... I don't understand why. normally I can see their point but in this case I disagree completely.

Great story

I loved the story line it's self, kind of a tear jerker and made me laugh and smile at times. I just wish the author had given more distinct details when trying to describe alien wildlife

Huhhhhhh, poor story

I read arrival with the original narrator and suffered through it and was happy with the last quarter of the book.
The new narrator, Jeffrey Cafer is great and it was very nice of the writer to pay for Jeffrey K. to re-narrate the book, great job!.
However the story is just boring. Yet, if you are a big fan of this book Series as I am, I would still recommend reading the book as the last quarter of the book is important. This is, without a doubt, the most uneventful and boring book out of the entire series. However, one of the books has to be the worst book out of the entire series, so says statistics. Lol.

Gripping

I have enjoyed reading Ryk Brown’s books over the past few years. I came across this book when searching to see what Brown had written. It is an earlier book as it was published in March of 2016.

The book has an interesting plot as well as characters. The book is obviously one of his early attempts as it is not as polished as his current books. I think this could make an interesting series if Brown brings it up to current standards. I did enjoy the book as well as observing how he has improved his writing skills.

The book is fourteen hours and fifty-seven minutes. Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating the book. Kafer has narrated all of Brown’s books.

What’s happened to Jack

I still don’t know what or why Jack changed and no one else did but they all still stayed on the planet

What a letdown!

The story is adequate, but then devolves into a silly, illogical, and insulting climax. It was a good premise, but a lousy rendition.

Wow. This is so amazingly bad.

I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review before, good or bad. But 15 minutes in and I’m trying to figure out how to get my credit back. In theory I should “give the book time to grow on me”. And usually when I don’t like a book I do just that. And sometimes it grows and other times it doesn’t. And that’s okay. But this. Wow. It’s soooo bad. Primary point is that if I’m going to listen to sci-fi written in the modern era I want it to at the very least make use of technology and computing from the early 2000s. I have no interest in listening to sci-fi that could have taken place in 1950…which brings me to the strong genius man weak stupid woman dynamic. Jesus. Suffice to say, if you are under the age of 70 this book is not for you. Seriously. Is there a way to get my credit back?
