Publisher's summary

Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

Sworn to serve and protect the United States of America from all monsters by one of the country’s founding fathers, Franks has only one condition to the agreement: No matter what the government learns of him, no matter what is discovered concerning his odd physiology or the alchemy behind the elixir that made him, the government is never, ever allowed to try and make more like him. Such is absolutely forbidden and should the powers-that-be do so, then the agreement is null and void.

Project Nemesis: in a secret location, using sophisticated technology and advanced genetic engineering, the director of the very agency Franks works for is making more like him. And the director is not content with making one. Nope, he’s making 13. Now all bets are off, and Hell hath no fury like a monster betrayed. Particularly if that monster happens to be an undying killing machine capable of taking out vampires and werewolves with one hand tied behind his back.

Its All About Franks !!

I loved this addition to the series!! I expected it will all be about MHI, but no, it was all about our lovely and "Classified" agent Franks. In the previous book we heard few times the word "Nemesis" and wondered what it was all about, and here we finally know what is Nemesis and how dangerous it is.
When I say too many things happened in this book, believe me, it was way toooo many things.. from new characters to new events, to deaths and to new lives and so on. This book was packed with everything you can think of.

What I loved about Nemesis is you get to know who is Franks and how he became agent Franks. I can't wait to get the next book and know what will happen next, specially with MHI!!!.

Larry Correia: World Architect

Larry Correia is masterful at depicting alternate worlds in both this series and Grimnoir Chronicles. Despite threatening events, the tone is laid-back, which I appreciate since I do not like to remain on the edge of my seat. I would warn readers that this is not a stand-alone book. I do not think this book will make sense if you read it before the others in the series. Nemesis is much like Alpha, in that they both take a memoir form. Also, if readers get annoyed with the presence of flat characters, I would not suggest this series; the Grimnoir Chronicles would be a better choice.

Great!!!

I loved this book. Awesome all around though if I had to make one complaint it would be through the book they show and talk about how strong Franks is but his amazing stregnth gets ignored whenever the author feels like. It seems like Franks should be able to rip the jaw/head off a person or werewolf. That said great book.

Awesome story again.

I really loved the fallen angel aspect of the story, but the swearing was a bit over the top this time.

Fun edition of MHI starring Agent Franks

MHI books are always fun and Oliver Wyman does his usual stellar job reading it. This one focuses on Agent Franks and his efforts to save the world. It was very good and the gang is involved, though I like best the eps focusing on the accountant/warrior Pitt. Want more!
