Publisher's Summary

First we were mesmerized by the Women of the Otherworld. Now it's time to learn all about the men who love those supernatural women!

As a curious six-year-old, Clayton didn't resist the bite - he asked for it. But surviving as a lone child-werewolf was more than he could manage - until Jeremy came along, taught him how to straddle the human-werewolf worlds...and introduced him to the Pack. So begins this tantalizing volume featuring three of the most intriguing members of the American Pack - a hierarchical founding family where bloodlines mean everything and each day presents a new, thrilling, and often deadly challenge.

For as Clayton grows from a wild child to a clever teen who tests his mentor at every turn, he must learn not only to control his animal instincts but to navigate Pack politics - including showing his brutal arch nemesis who the real Alpha is.

"Excellent backstory, but not a prequel"

This book contains the back stories and in-between stories of several of the non-narrator characters. I would NOT listen to it as a prequel. Although the events in the begining take place before "Bitten" (Book 1), some of the later events take place after "No Humans Involved" (Book 7) and contains spoilers.

"Author succeeds with a realistic paranormal book"

This is not the first time I have listened to this book and I have to admit I enjoyed it even more the second time around. The author is great at interjecting true humor, necessary details that develop the story line, and coaxing the reader to climb into her world. I love that the book is written from a man's point of view as he looks back over his early years and lifelong relationships. My only regret is that the book didn't continue on into Clay's life after he met Elena. While this book has absolutely no romantic tendencies whatsoever, it is still a worthy read with a healthy plot and well developed characters. Congrats Ms. Armstrong, you actually kept my attention. And trust me when I say that's not an easy thing to do. Thanks for the book. Definitely worth the cold hard cash.

    "Great story!"

I thought the idea of this book was interesting so I listened(Im not real big on "romance novels" they tend to bore me)But this was a nice surprise. I loved listening to the "voice" of the little boy, very funny and believable.I listened to this book more than once, its worth the $. Very little romance, just a great story.
The reader did an EXCELLENT job on the different voices!

"The Stories of Jeremy and Clayton"

This provides the back stories of Jeremy and Clayton, particularly the tale of how Jeremy rescued Clayton and helped him become the valued member of the Pack he is in the stories of Elena's life in the Pack, which begin with "Bitten". Fascinating listen, and the narrator does an excellent job of distinguishing the characters' voices and accents.

"Great Book about the Men in this series"

This is a fabulous book about Clayton and Jeremy when they were younger. You will want to read the others in the series before you do this book or it probably won't mean as much to you. I love Kelley Armstrong she is a great author. I also liked the narrator of this book he did a great job.

"I hope that there's another book coming soon!"

I've listened to all of the "Women of the Otherworld" books, so when I heard this one it felt as if I were listening to a story about people I knew. I loved every bit of info that it filled in about Jeremy and Clay. I hope that there's another book in the works which will continue from their viewpoint.

    "Her best yet"

I am a huge fan of the Otherworld series. This book completely redeemed my faith in Kelley because I felt her last novel (Living With the Dead) was a flop. I understand Clayton now and he has become my favorite character. (Previously, it was Savannah, if that helps any) I wish I read this before Bitten because it gives a huge amount of background to the stories of Elena. It should be listed as a prequel. The narrator was excellent; they couldn't have chosen better. You won't regret using a credit for this book.

    "Great Background for the series!"

Loved the narrator on this book. His voices really lend to the story. I actually wondered if there was more than one narrator. The story really built the background for the other stories and gave you an interesting look at Clayton and Jeremy.

    "If you are a fan!"

If you are a fan of her Otherworld series it's a must. It gives you a back ground of the men in the pack. I read it when she had these novellas on the web for free and was happy to find it as an audiobook. I especially liked the last one about Jeremy, who is really mostly silent in her other books. It was worth buying it just for that part!
