Publisher's summary

New York goes dark in the dead of winter…
A terrifying mystery begins…
But who is the enemy?

Sometimes the worst storms aren’t from Mother Nature, and sometimes the worst nightmares aren’t the ones in our heads.

Mike Mitchell, an average New Yorker already struggling to keep his family together, suddenly finds himself fighting just to keep them alive when an increasingly bizarre string of disasters starts appearing on the world’s news networks. As both the real world and the cyberworld come crashing down, bending perception and reality, a monster snowstorm cuts New York off from the world, turning it into a wintry tomb where nothing is what it seems.

Anyone who enjoys insightful, cutting-edge fiction mixed with action and adventure won’t want to miss CyberStorm.

A story about a plausible situation.

Great narration about possibly the most important topic of this and future generations. Enjoyed it.

Good story

Very interesting book. However, some tech aspects such as cell phone functionality during a disaster are non realistic. Good combination of 21st century innovations and basic human instincts.

Survival story without Zombies and aliens.

Audible version. This book had an interesting concept of what would happen if a cyber attack took down everything we took for granted. It is a survival story that follows a group of friends and how far they could be pushed and punished before they fought back. The book isn't about the cyber warfare, but about what would you do to protect your family. How much can your mind and body take before it cracks under the pressure of protecting the ones you love and care for? What happens when you assume the worst of others and of a situation without properly evaluating it? I enjoyed the pace of the book and didn't fill there was any filler or stagnation. The characters were very likable and balanced each other out. The narration was very good and had unique voices for all of the characters. Read at 1.5x

Chilling story for November 2020

The story runs a number of parallels and then takes a ton of crazy turns and leaves you if you should just read a synopsis online to ease your stress.

Great characters and again a great listen / read.

Definitely plausible

Good story line definitely plausible scenario in which I’m sure we will see more of in the near future. Characters except for Chuck too naive was about the only thing I noticed.

Could have been better

I actually love the premise of the story. As a self avowed prepper, I thought there were too many mistakes scenarios for the story. I loved the idea of the mesh net for cellphones because it's a very real option very few people in the prepper community talk about. I had trouble with some of the decisions the characters made as I felt most people would have more common sense in these situations.

Seems possible

Described people in a believable manner. How dirty they were and No way to clean themselves or their clothes. Or their blankets. Bugs, and lice on them. I liked the set up by days. Did get. Long towards the end. I would recommend it.
