In our frenzied culture, the possibility of living in balanced rhythms of work and rest often feels elusive. This rings especially true for pastors and leaders who carry the weight of nonstop responsibility. Most know they need rest but might be surprised to find within themselves a deep resistance to letting go and resting in God one day a week, let alone for longer seasons of sabbatical.

This book is a thing of beauty! What a wonderful revelation! We were created by God to be in joyful, nourishing friendship with Him and with one another, and we're to be intentional about the time we set apart to engage in the nurture and enjoyment of these relationships! Amen!!!

Engaging and tangible
I really enjoyed this exhortation to observe the sabbath. My husband and I agree that we will confess our faith by obeying HIS law on how to worship Him. what a blessing as I approach my first sabbath. God is Good in and out of time.

I felt peace throughout the whole book it allow my heart to settle into the idea of Sabbath
This book is written, exquisitely, the author captivated my heart. I was able to become part of the sabbath all that he was explaining became alive inside of me. Excellent writing phenomenal narrator.
