Publisher's summary

My future was about to be completely thrown off track because Della Sloane was under my skin, and I had to have her. I couldn’t ignore it anymore . . . I’d gotten close enough to her to see deeper.

Della Sloane is not your average girl. Yearning to break free of her dark and sheltered past and the memories of the illness that claimed her mother, Della plans a solo road trip to experience real life on her own terms. But the trip is nearly cut short in the little beach town of Rosemary when she realizes she can’t even pump her own gas—until Woods Kerrington shows up, more than willing to help out a pretty girl in need.

Woods’s family wants him to settle down with a wealthy woman in pearls, but he can’t resist this carefree girl in cutoffs passing through town. A one-night stand should have been enough, but months later, Woods can’t get the irresistible Della out of his head.

When a twist of fate brings Della back to Woods, all signs point to trouble if they don’t keep their distance. Neither is truly free, and a relationship could destroy both of them. With their hearts on the line, Della thinks the safest bet is to walk away. But Woods isn’t about to let that happen...

Sebastian York makes Woods Yummie!

This was a classically awesome romance. I couldn't stop listening, and when it was over I wanted more. Della's tale breaks your heart. Though Woods without a doubt is beautiful, you are left with the feeling that the deep over the top emotional investment combined with the possessive desire to care for Della is definitely going to cause problems down the road. Della just comes across as a stronger character than Woods wants her to be. The only negative.. At least for me, I had a hard time falling for the "puppet demands" get you the VP office story line. None the less, it was a very good listen. I want more Sebastian York. He makes you hear SEXY!!

hate when story not finished

I think I've written this review multiple times this week. I don't mind cliffhangers if each book has a standalone story and by stand-alone I mean a protagonist has a conflict and that conflict is resolved by the end of the book. More and more I'm hearing and reading books that are not completed stories. Complete the first story then you can set up a cliffhanger for the second story or book. This is becoming one of my major pet peeves when I see novels series.

better than i thought

Where does Twisted Perfection rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

i listen to a lot of books, so i would really would listen to this more than once, even more than twice.

Who was your favorite character and why?

woods he was strong and would not give up her,

Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York – was your favorite?

i am not sure, they move threw the book pretty well

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

at the end shocker, i wish i would have known that it would be a cliff hanger i would have waited till part 2 to come out to read the story.

Good continuation of story, but I have one problem

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe

Any additional comments?

It began to bother me that York does the male voice, but when it is Elizabeth she does the male voice in her chapter. It usually does not bother me, but her male voices are really weak and York is strong. Otherwise, okay.

Twisted Perfection

Della Sloane & Woods Kerrington

This story will break your heart.

Woods is trying to please his father; to be part of the business his father is giving him an ultimatum. He is to marry who he chooses for Woods or he won’t be part of the business. Woods feels like he has no other options.

Della Lordy be this women has been through HELL and back and is still living through it.
These two are like magnets, they are meant to be. I love that he just wants to take care of her. He is so possessive of her. He is the Alpha of all Alpha’s I thought Rush was possessive but he has NOTHING on Woods.

Brayden is one of my most favorite characters it’s too bad we didn’t get her story. She reminds me of Bethy and Blaire mixed into one.

I seem to always tear up at odd times through this book. <3 Can’t wait to start book 2 of their story.

Abbi Glines writes the most addicting books!!

Abbi writes books that are absolutely addicting. Once you’ve read an Abbi Glines book you’ll be hooked for life. This is not a light and easy romance. It deals with dark issues and struggles. It's heartbreaking and heartwarming. Tragic and hopeful. Weakness and Strength. Passion. Fear. Anxiety. Lust. Love. Woods and Della. Della is so broken. She’s a shattered girl trying to find herself in a world that she has no idea how to live in. After a torturous childhood Della is given the opportunity by her best friend to go out into the world and “find herself.” She needs to learn to be independent and to find some sort of freedom from a childhood that haunts her every moment. Della just wants to experience all the ups and downs that go with a normal life. Woods is working hard to take over the family business. He wants the vice president job but his father will only allow this if he agrees to an arranged marriage. He unhappily agrees until Della and Woods lay eyes on each other it’s LUST at first sight. The chemistry is addictive! This book was seriously hot. And sweet. And passionate. And full of love, and self discovery, and self acceptance. In other words, it was simply amazing. Once again, I am blown away at how much I love the worlds Abbi creates. The people she dreams up, and the emotions they bring me.

Sebastian York as Woods? YES PLEASE!

Yet another winner in the sweet romance niche that Abbi Glines has perfected. I loved Woods when he was introduced in the 'Fallen' series, so I was eager to hear his story. I wasn't disappointed in the least. In all honesty, I was super excited that Sebastian York was the narrator---his voice added another layer of yum to Woods' appeal. Della was a sweet character and despite her really tragic childhood, she and Woods find a special love. Probably the main gripe I have is the female narrator, she should probably retire from voiceover work.

Looking forward to hearing what happens next for Della and Woods!
