Scotland, 1272: Connor MacKiernan, a descendant of the Fae Prince, is a warrior who lives only for honor and duty. Though he's vowed never to marry, that's exactly what he must do to save his sister. Enter a little Faerie magic, and the search for a bride is on.
Denver, 2007: Caitlyn Coryell is having a really bad day - she just discovered her fiance with another woman! Imagine her surprise when she puts on some sexy lingerie and an antique pendant and Connor appears in her bedroom, begging for her help. He offers a simple yet outrageous adventure: travel to his time, marry him, and return home.
But nothing's simple when Cate is trapped in the 13th century. The wedding's delayed, someone's trying to kill her, and in the middle of all this, she realizes she's falling in love with a man who can only be her husband for 30 nights.

Audiobooks Change Tasks To Unlimited Adventures! Love Historical/Insp. Romances & Random Sale Genres. Reviews Shouldn’t Contain Spoilers ;-)
I didn't know what to expect with this author but I was pleasantly surprised by this story. This isn't your average Highlander adventure......its refreshing, honest, and unpredictable. The love between Caitlyn and Connor happens gradually and isn't forced. The story seemed more "normal" (even with the time travel theme) than others in the same genre. This book is more of a fantasy type romance rather than historical which is fine with me because I enjoy both.
The narrator did a good job. Her men's voices tend to be a little whiny but I got used to it and after a while I didn't notice much.
If you enjoy fantasy/time travel romances I think you will enjoy this book. I am looking forward to other books in this series.
There Is nothing l love more than a good story with a handsome highlander and a intelligent heroine, add some time travel And a few good plot twists and I am a happy lady! IF its well done of course. This one is quite enjoyable with an intriguing cast of Characters , excellent Narration and just the right Amount of heat. Credit worthy ? Yep!
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
I had not heard of this author before but anything with the word 'Highlander' in it and it's got my immediate attention - then couple it with time travel and a doomed love and I'm hitting the 'Add To Cart' button before I know it.
First you have Caitly (Cate) whose fiancée has been 'caught in the act' by her and she's feeling vulnerable but adventurous which is lucky because Conner reaches out through time to her and makes her a strange but tempting offer begging her for help and she finds she just can't refuse him (sensible girl). Conner, a sexy, handsome Highland hunk from the year 1272 (who's a positively drool-worthy temptation - especially in his kilt), is on a quest to save his sister and so duty dictates that he must find a bride but his reach spans hundreds of years into the future until, with the help of Fae magic, he finds Cate.
There was great chemistry between the two likeable H/H who have emotional baggage to overcome as both have been betrayed by love in the past so trust must be earned before love can blossom. Smooth flowing entertaining plot, likeable characters with good secondary ones too and the usual evil Laird whose plans don't include Cate and he tries everything to stop the marriage. It was romantic, tender, there was sexual tension, danger, fun, it had a mythical Legend and the magical Fae finally had to step in to help fate, and the lovers, along and it'll have you saying "Oh no no no" and "Ahh yes yes yes" over and over again.
Worth a credit? Yes, it was a very enjoyable listen and a good start to an 8 (so far) book series which I'd be happy to use my credits on, however I do feel that this may be compared to K.M.Moning's Highlander series and unfortunately, for me, it doesn't quite have the same depth - but it's a good second best.
I did not ~ SORRY ~ but, I REALLY did not like anything about this AudioBook.
Wow~where to begin. Hard to say~I love Histroical Romance~Especially Time Travel. This novel was weak & just plain, ODD. I hate to write a bad review~I have respect for anyone who can put so many words together & create a story ~but~ not this one. (Maybe it was just the Narrator~When I get bored I'll try reading the written version only).
Where to begin… whiny + squeeky & annoying narration. The tone + tempo & voices were like, "Nails on a Chalk Board". (Usually I can listen to anything to keep me occupied while going about my day~this AudioBook just put me in a bad mood).
Annoyance & kinda disappointed I couldn't ask for a refund.
Like any "Review" it's a personal opinion… I felt compelled to write a review (I think this is my 1st review on Audible). I was compelled because I thought this Book/Audio was really bad. Like any opinion~Other Reader's / Listener's may feel differently~Regardless of my feelings on this Book/AudioBook, I still feel others should give it a try.
This is the first time that I have listened to this author, and I must say the book was fantastic. The narrator was excellent. I can't wait for another book by her and another listen from the narrator.
I couldn't put this down. Great narrater for such a fun adventure into the world of the Fae and time travel. Love is the answer--true love wins all. Reading Book 2 now--can't wait for book 3 and hopefully many more. This is a story all will love and remember.
Yes, I enjoyed the tale.
When they rescue Connor and his sister and bring them back. I was worried about how it the author would find a way to give us a happy ending.
The whispers and high pitch of some voices made it difficult to understand all the conversations. When the narrator lowers the volume for whisper or the frequency of her voice to a high pitch it is not understandable at a volume that is comfortable for normal listening.
Evening the conversational volume.
There are three brothers who now work with Connor, Tell me about their adventures. Plus I would like a meeting between Connor and Richard. More stories please, with or without the faery connection.
The story was engaging and very well created. I loved the characters and the world created and it's made my re-read list. The narration was also fabulous and I look forward to more.
I enjoy reading -romance, mystery & paranormals. Some of my favorite audios are: Harry Potter, Fablehaven, Cat & Bones & JD Robb.
It was a good story with good narration.
I don't feel compelled to continue with the series, but if I catch them on sale, I would probably go for book 2.
The story has good ideas, nice characters, and good execution. I just think it feels a bit boring.
Not wrong - I could listen to her, she was not the best.
This is an okay time traveler, but there are just so many better ones (ie - Knight in Shining Armor& KMM Highlanders)
