Not as good as the first two in the series

♥ ♥ I was excited to read this. Loved the first two books in this series and I enjoyed Maddie’s character while in those books. I thought there was a ton of potential for her story, being a skeptical woman due to writing true crime, but I found this book pretty slow. There was way too much backstory, and loads of details and information that I kinda felt were unnecessary. Also, sadly for me, I did not feel any chemistry between Mick and Maddie, or really anything throughout the story. It all just felt like words. I started skimming the sex scenes due to this as well.

This book seems to be the opposite to any other Rachel Gibson book I have read. I will be sure to read some more of her books though... cause everyone's allowed a dud at some point right?

Nicole Poole did a fine job with her Narration. She has a variety of voices and clear pronunciation.

AWESOME

I listen on the way to work everyday. I couldn't wait to listen to it. The turn at the end was great.

Narration

The narrator has a pleasant voice but the narration style did not suit the story - it felt we heard more passion regarding the cat than with most of the other humans. I never felt fully involved or invested in the story and I won't be buying the next / last book in this series as an audible book, though I may pick it up in print.

Loved this book to the very end!

What a great listen. Mattie and Mick were so well written you could feel all the emotions. This book pulled me and I and just couldn't stop listening. I only hope that we get more from this writer/narrator combo. Both were fantastic!

I loved the main character, Mattie Jones. Self made women, knows how to satisfy the man she's with.

This was a fasinating book. I enjoyed the plot. It was a book is about how forgiveness can ease pain in your life you never knew you had.

Nice 'read'!

I did enjoy story. it was definitely different. I believe Ms. Poole's narration helped keep me listening. That and it was quite sexy. I would surely suggest it to other readers and I will try another book by Rachel Gibson.

i'm reading out of order, i have read book 4, now book 3 ... i did listen on Audible ... yet to hear or read book 1 and 2??! are these standalones? don't think so. great characters ... the humor is off the charts ... well at least it is funny to me ... sarcastic i should say.

I like all of rachel Gibson's, they are always a good read. if you like romance.
