The trouble with Valentine's Day?

It just plain stinks!

Kate Hamilton should know. Dumped by her boyfriend and burnt out by her job, she's returned to Gospel, Idaho, where a Mountain Momma Crafters' original poetry reading is about as good as it gets on a Friday night. Then her first attempted seduction of a hunky stranger is completely rejected. So much for her self-esteem!

It turns out that Rob Sutter, former ice hockey madman, owner of Sutter's Sports - and the hunky stranger who told her to get lost - has been more than burned by love and isn't looking for a relationship. But then he and Kate find themselves in an ultra-compromising position in the M&S Market, giving the phrase "clean up in aisle five" a whole new meaning and causing a whole lot of gossip in Gospel.

Light and fluffy

I didn’t think I could get past the first mention of the soul patch but I did. It’s super light romance and some steaminess , with a decent author, although she tends to use the word “chuckle” a lot.

Title misleading ...

when I first saw the title I thought okay a meet cute kinda story I could use a feel good book right now.... but that wasn't it... it was an okay book I guess I already had my assumptions so when I got through it it was a let down... but no regrets... I did like it overall...

Fun and flirty

This fun is fun and flirty. Characters were very relatable. Shows modern and old fashioned thinking.

Valentines Day is troubling

Wonderful romance with sexual tension right from the start. It’s a shame there was no mention of Kate’s birthday present.

Not your typical Hallmark movie!!😆

Tough it out...lol.

Had to force myself through the narration, but once I got into the story I was happy I did.

Moving to Idaho

Great story even if you know how it must end - especially since this is my third listen. Kathleen Early was THE PERFECT CHOICE for the narrator!

Repetitive

the endless repetition of "a while" and how any of the wh- words were said took away from the experience of the story. How was it miss by everyone who has to read through the book before publishing is beyond me. other than that the story was really good.

Eh

Loved listening to this, but I have to say I’m tired of this author’s books ending with the same story with
The guy not in love, the girl saying she is and leaving him, and then him having an epiphany and then declaring love and proposing marriage all in the same conversation. Just a little predictable now since I d been in a kick of Rachel Gibson stories. It feels fake when the stories wrap up in the last 5 minutes of the story.

How many times can you repeat the same line..

If I hear “she folded her arms underneath her breasts” one more time.. the story lines are good but I’m shocked at how many times the same descriptions are repeated ? Isn’t anyone on her review team pointing this out ??

Delightfully entertaining rom com!

Humor and angst abound in this rom com that is delightfully entertaining and a great listen! There is also enough steam to get your blood pumping so there's that to enjoy as well. The narrator did a great job of bringing these characters to life and enhancing a well thought out plot. I'm not a sports fan, but this hockey themed rom com series is absolutely hitting the goal of entertaining me for hours on end. I'm looking forward to listening to the next in the series!
