She was ready to let her heart run wild....
Merry Stewart has had enough! Enough of her brothers, whose behavior would make even the most improper lady blush. Enough of their Highland home, which would surely have fallen to ruin were it not for her. She dreams of escaping into the arms of her betrothed, Alexander d'Aumesbery-even though they haven't yet met. But when they do, Merry is devastated. It seems he's no better than the men in her family.
So beautiful, so brazen . . . From the moment he meets Merry, Alexander is determined to make her his. Desperate to convince her he's nothing like the members of her roguish clan, he will prove he is every bit the well-mannered gentleman. Yet, beneath it all beats a heart as intense and uncontrollable as hers. And finally, when his life is threatened, Merry realizes he's the husband she's been waiting for . . . and their passion becomes the one thing that cannot be tamed.

I am a audiobook NUT !!! I Can't Get Enough Romance Books!!!
the story was great i wish the reader was better no personality in her voice....................
Light funny listening, mystery subplot that doesn't over power. It takes a while to get used to the narrator but after listening I really did like her heavy scottish accent.
I love books, it's my great escape.
If you like romance stories about the Highlanders, I do recommend this one. I will buy more from this author. In fact I did get all the books in this series and loved them all. I just love when I feel like my credit was well spent!
As usual Lynsay Sands has given us another spellbinding and intriguing tale. I always enjoy her plots with their great Loves and all the twists and turns of a good mystery. Her characters spring to life and her visuals form distinct settings for her stories. I enjoy a good Highland tale with it's inevitably hunk of a hero and beautiful heroine wrapped up in a epic love story. This is the quintessential historical romance at its finest.
NARRATOR : Marianna Palka is never among my favorites or even close yet I don't totally avoid her either. It is the odd cadence of her performance that bothers me. Her characters are each unique and recognizable and she does not speak with distracting mouthy sounds. Listen to her in the snippet!
HEAT FACTOR: Steamy!!
This is a must read book, I think the narrorator did an amazing job in capturing the Irish accent. I found myself identifying with the main character and hoping for a great outcome!
At first I was thrown off by the way the woman was reading the story, her tone and rhythm are very unique. Over all it is a good book, I always love Lynsay Sands work!
I wish I hadn't used my credit for this story. The narrator wasn't bad. I've heard worse. The story was depressing, with very little light heartedness. L.S. has written BETTER than this!
