I loved the chemistry and romance between these two. They are perfect together! I laughed so much with their antics between each other.

It’s good but….

This story had good bones for me but the main characters kinda ignored me. Making the story less enjoyable.
The main gal gives in to her bf being a jerk all the time. Some parts she gets upset making her point go through then forgets about it later giving in.
The slade guy reminded me of one of my sons friends. Which is in middle school. Always thought they were funny with there jokes. Even when asked to stop making fun. Ends up doing it again days later. Makes repeated dumb choices then wonders why they did it again.
But I do have a feeling if the reader would of changed the voice for him. He would not of sounded so childish. It would of been a tad more likeable
Story line was alright. Main characters were not a favorite but I think that all that ignored me about this story.
Wait the ending. Wished it could of been smother. Not just conversation then THE END.
Reader was alright but I believe she had a different feel for the characters then the author. Thought of them as child like puppy love rather then stubborn adults. Which made the story line kinda twist.

Love Slade and this series!

This was the first one of the series I read years ago and I was hooked! I feel like Laurann Dohner writes series that are so fun to read (love cyborg series too!). If you like sci-fi fantasy romance this is a great series! Hot and steamy with really good plots! (Check content warnings some have sensitive subject matter that may bother some). I feel like this author is really good at keeping the plot easy to follow and keeping you invested. Some other fantasy romance gets so in depth and convoluted that I don’t have the brain power to follow. It’s written in third person which isn’t my favorite, but I forget soon after because the story is so fun! Definitely check out this author and this series! I don’t think I have ever disliked any of her books!

Very Addictive Series!

This is a very addictive series for me. I've listened to the first seven stories back to back, and honestly do not have anything negative to say except I love some of the New Species characters more than others. I am so made at myself for waiting so long to listen to these stories..... they are awesome!

I know Slade may not be others favorite characters but he is one of mine especially later in the series, but I don't want to give anything away just in case someone has just started this series. However, the sex scene with Slade and Trisha in the forest, OMG it was off the charts, loved it!

I am a die hard fan of PNR that are slightly on the edgy side, so this series is a must for me.

Good Followup

I'm enjoying this series with every book that I read. This book is about Slade and Doc Trish. Slade is a new species that has encounter Doc Trish before but doesn't remember their experience together. Trish is a doctor who is interested in the mating habits of the new species and how they interact with humans. She is also deeply interested in Slade and can't forget the brief encounter they shared and is hurt that Slade doesn't remember anything about it. I won't spoil the book for you but needless to say it is well worth the 10 hours to listen to this book. Of course, they are well written, intense romance scenes that are add to the story instead of just pointless sex being thrown in. I have already purchased the third book in this series to start reading.

Have listened to this serious and read it. My favorite series of all time and need new books to come out!

Too captivating for words! Get it and listen. This book had me wanting to listen to the whole book in one sit-down and it had me laughing.

My favorite of the series

I love this series and this is my favorite. Enjoyed the angst in the story and the HEA . Sex is hot too!

new species men!!! wow they are HOT!!!

I cant get enough of this series.. at first it was hard for me to get adjusted to this book#2 of the new species bc I was sooo addicted to the story between fury and ellie in the first book and yearned for more of them and their life.. but as this book started to unfold I became just as addicted to slade and Trisha aka doc! and am now downloading valiant book#3.I am truly addicted to this series and will be sad when I complete them all(they are that addictive !!)... these books have become a daily part of my to do list. lol.... the author is truly a very talented and gifted writer.. the characters descriptions are very well and life like and you forget that these characters are just made up .and the scenes and scenarios are very easy for your mind to visualize. and the narrator is one of the best I've heard and she adds to the author with her well play on the voices and reading to make them appear more real and easier visible!
