Publisher's summary

A standalone novel.

I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance".

I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she's the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that's what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She's all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn't want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won't.

So Pucking Sexy!

Lance is so Pucking sexy, and Poppy is one lucky girl. This book is strangely sweet... mostly because it was a surprise to find Lance to be such a sweetheart. Like earlier books in this series, Pucked Off is laugh aloud funny with quirky characters, flirty banter and a whole lot of delicious sexiness.

The ultimate in audio entertainment by a fabulous author and two talented narrators.

Pucked Off

Ahh, these books just keep getting better and better. Lance and Poppy are a very close second to my favorite couple. I love how open and vulnerable Lance was, he didn’t want to have weaknesses but he does and he deals with them the best way he can. The fact that Poppy helps him heal without even know it is kind of special.

The destructive nature of Lance and his past really dragged him down you can’t help but want to see him get his HEA. I liked that there was a conflict without it being dramalama.

Fun scene I loved was then the girls came to the rescue. I loved that.

The narration was fantastic Jacob Morgan does accents well. He didn’t overdo it, it was just right.

My favorite of the Pucked series thus far!!

I loved Lance and his whole story. You could feel his story building up in the Pucked series, and I wasn't sure I would like him very much because of his history in the books. But Helena was a master mind at flipping everything around on me and now I love, love, love Lance Romance Romero.
Also I think this was my favorite narration so far. Jacob and Rose did a fantastic no with this duo.

Goodbye Pucked Series <3

Lance has always been my top Pucked male and not just because of his ascent. Okay that has a lot to do with it. However though he likes to fight, and sleep with a bunch of bunnies. However he is also loyal and loves gummy bears which makes me smile at childlike he can be. He also has a thing about being touched and is really broken. Not all of it was thanks to Tasha but she's sure as hell didn't help. Tash in the beginning of the series didn't seem bad person, and I even thought she may be a good choice for Lance. However reading this book will change your mind quick.

The actual love interest had a little camo in the second book and came back to help Lance with his problems. I loved Poppy in how she knew Lance before he became a hockey player. They reconnect because Lance needed a massage therapist, and though he was didn't want to he went. I love how she is the one who can break down Lance's defenses making him happy.

There interaction especially in the beginning was cute. For the simple reason Lance didn't know how to talk to Poppy. Sure Lance knows how to flirt and seduce however doesn't mean he knows how to deal with someone he wants to date. So watching him fumble was the cutest thing and I had to pause a couple times over the cuteness of it.

Poppy and Lance did had some issues with the whole if we don't talk about it we wont ruin the start of their relationship. Which I was blah about however it lead to a Violet and Lily step in, and they worked it out so its fine.

I also love the little snippets of the other Pucked characters. The little you see of them is enough to make the book a full experience. I love the audiobook as I've loved all the other ones. To hear the ascent and just get involved in the book by how Rose Dioro & Jacob Morgan. Plus with the fact that Hunting brings humor with heart felt moments made the 9 hours and 36 mins not long at all.

Am so sad that am saying goodbye to this series with all this great couples that I got to know and laugh at and with. Though I would have love to know what the heck is going on between a couple that we never knew what really was going on. Am fine with this conclusion, and just glad I got my Lance story and that he got his happy ever after and there's no more Tash.

Well HotDamn Romance

Lets just say Lance isn't the player I thought him to be, and Tash wasn't who she seems from the previous books. OMG and Pippa, she is so sweet and understanding... the total opposite of Tash. No spoilers here, well worth your last credit. Run to the checkout with this Hockey hunk listen!!

All Kinds of Hockey Hotness

So there's hotness and hot mess and Lance finds a way to be both at the same time. I was happy to see the reappearance of Poppy from the second book in the series. I was so curious about what happened between Lance and Poppy and the actual was better and sweeter than I imagined. I loved that their past was a good start and not a shameful secret. But I just wanted Lance to grow a pair and deal with Tash instead of avoiding her -- I was starting to question is "man card." But he got a pass on all kinds of stuff because he was so hot and so sweet. Oh yeah, and bringing in Violet and her crazy unfiltered mouth was just the comic relief this story needed.

Narrators were amazing and kept me engaged throughout the entire book. Love when these two team up to bring us Helena's hockey stories. Great combo all around.

Definitely worth the credit and the wait. Looking forward to the next installment.

The creation of first kiss standards

What did you love best about Pucked Off?

I loved everything about Lance and Poppy's story. It did the characters justice and was immensely sweet. I waited forever for Lances story and was so thrilled at the amount of depth he shows in his book, it is everything I wished for and then some.

What other book might you compare Pucked Off to and why?

So hard to judge, but I would say based on sweetness factor, and the whole troubled history/blast from the past aspects this book has... it brings out some of the same underlying feelings and themes as HIM or US by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy. Which is amazing. This definitely ranked just as high for me.

Have you listened to any of Rose Dioro and Jacob Morgan ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to a number of books preformed by them each & this was so fantastically performed. Rose Diario has just the right amount of sweetness with her portrayal of Poppy, and she delivers with her performance. Jacob Morgan did excellent with letting a little bit of that Scottish Brougue come through. I will admit I was a bit nervous at first with his accent because he is such an amazing voice actor already, and a badly done accent can kill a performance. Jacob Morgan nailed it IMO because Lance is Scottish but lived long term in US since childhood, having a slight accent that has been watered down some isn't a stretch. His performance was flawless.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved loved loved the closet scene.

Any additional comments?

Thank you Helena Hunting for making a first kiss exapectation that is so swoon worthy, I wouldn't be surprised if you ruined first kisses for every reader. And the second first kiss too. Bravo for Lance and Poppy's story. It was 10+++ stars. Definitely worth paying full price, or a credit.

Got my Poppy and Lance! Score!!

I was more than excited for the story of Lance!!! To have Poppy be his taming forever.... couldn't be better! Loved every word from Helena Hunting. Then the voices and emotion from Rose Dioro and Jacob Morgan! I'm still swooning from the triple combination. Will NOT be my last book from this author, I'm a huge fan. To hear how Rose and Jacob work together is something I cannot get enough of.

Perfect!

I loved this story. Very sweet and amazing narration! Nice to hear his story after getting glimpses here and there throughout the other books in the series. I would recommend to listen to the other books in this series first!
