Lukas is such an amazing book boyfriend! Carian Cole draws his character as a tough, tattooed and pierced young man with a gentle "old soul". He woos a hesitant Ivy with kindness and honesty and only wants the same back from her.
"Lukas doesn’t belong here, I realize right then. He’s a Knight. A prince. A warrior. A Viking. He’s one of those men that fight for love ’til the end of time."
Ivy is reeling from break up of her marriage and is surprised to find herself so attracted to her young and sexy tattoo artist. Lukas helps her to see herself as a beautiful woman.
“Shh . . . be a kitten tomorrow," he whispers, his hand sliding slowly up my arm. “Be a cougar tonight.”
I can't express how much I adore this book and this series! I could read each book over and over to revel in the beautiful writing and all the amazing feelings as I fall in love with each character.
For this reread, I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrators, Tatiana Sokolov and Nelson Hobbs! They did such a great job of bringing to life Ivy and Lukas. Their seamless narration kept me fully invested in the story right from the opening page!
I just have to roll my eyes and say 'really' when someone writes in a review that the book was not 'realistic'...come on now 'really'!
I loved this book. Lukas is Vandal's younger brother and Storm's cousin. With their inheritance Lucas and Vandal open a tattoo shop that also includes a nice roomy apartment where Lucas lives.
Ivy overhears her husband at midnight on the phone saying to someone "I love you and can't wait to f**k you, I'll see you Friday night." Ivy confronts him when he returns to their bedroom. He admits he has been having an affair for 1 year with an, of course, younger woman. He packs some clothes and leaves to go to his girlfriend's place. Ivy's reaction to the realization of what just happened had me crying right along with her.
Some time passes and Ivy decides she going to start anew. Ivy's best friend gives her a coupon to a tattoo shop. This is where Lukas and Ivy's story begins.....
Tatiana Sokolov is in my top 5 female performers. She put so much emotion into the first chapter I was crying with her. Nelson Hobbs made a very sexy Lukas.
I'm really enjoying this series, although I did return Vandal...it was just too depressing.
Absolutely with the credit and would recommend to anyone who likes a strong female lead who overcomes adversity and hot as heck male lead.
I cried through much of this book! Lucas has the most loving heart pure soul and you just want to love him! if you aren't into emotional and heart wrenching this book is not for you! I loved it!
I do not typically review books, however this one touched my heart and had to share. For those of you who have loved an unconventional person or who are one themselves unconventional, this book is for you! It is well written and has a wonderful story line.
Lukas, I mean... do you have to ask? Well written and hot
It might have been the first kiss. There are so many good scenes in this book
I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys this type of book.
