So much better.

This title is a solid 4 stars. I gave the last one 3.5 but a couple of the issues I had in the last book either were solved or were rounded out to make more sense in this title. I didn't like how often we got the Lessers perspective and felt knowing those one letter freaks didn't impact the story at all but this title made use of that prior annoyance. Though I am upset that I was right that there's some inappropriate sexual undertones with Mr.X going on with the boys. Nonetheless; although Mary was a real Mary sue majority of the book when it came time for her to be tough she really stood up. This story was world's more realistic than the last. Which is crazy to say for a vampire romance series lol Although Mary and Rhage's back and forth/miscommunication can grate on your last nerve it's realistic for the two given their backgrounds. I also love how Rhage actually kept her safe, I was so sure since with these kinds of books kidnapping is a must and she was going to get kidnapped (and it did happen) but not to his woman! . He truly kept that woman safe. That's oddly so rare on this genre. Loved how he always said her name too. Mary this, Mary that. Swoon. Loved the side plot with John /Darius too. I almost cried at the rice part. I'm excited for his story and Bellas! The narrators transatlantic cadence weighs down this series unfortunately.

The Patience of a Saint

I liked that Rage was more than patient with Mary. He tried so hard to protect her and she gave him the blues. A conversation from the beginning could have solved a lot of her jealousy issues. I’m glad I finally decided to start this series and the narrator is one of my favorites from the Shadow Walker series!

love the story but they should have picked another person to narrate. there is too much slang and the guy idk he just wasnt a good fit for this read.

Can't get enough!

Incredible world developed for our enjoyment. Ward is a wizard; she knows just how to push the buttons of her audience. Awesome story line and character development, you really feel a part of the action. Lovely fantasy opportunities.

Another excellent book in this series!

Love this series and all the characters. On to book 3. Totally recommend this series out of credits so with the dollars.

I really enjoy this series. & I'm only @ #2

This is a book that not only held my interest, but I so enjoyed it. However, there was a minor storyline that I just kind of rolled my eyes at. It was just too over the top for me. Having said that, it's definitely worth a credit, for me.

I love that it's over 10 hours, it lets the story have so much more depth. More story lines that I definitely enjoyed. There is still some of the entire book world that needs to be uncovered and resected, so if you're looking for all questions from book one to be answered here, you will be disappointed, but since I know now I will be reading all of the series, I can wait. I do like that the main storyline in each book is resolved, at the close of the book, the other questions I have, I'll have to wait until one, or all of the series reveals them.

J.R. Ward knows how to stir up the emotions with these characters. I am hooked! Not your run of the mill sappy love story. This is gut wrenching and I love it!
