One of my favorites of the series

The end of this book made me cry sad tears then happy tears. It was one of my favorites so far in their series and I’m on to the 6th book now!

Loved this story but I'm excited for the next one!

Okay so I will be honest here... Rhage and Mary are not my favorites. I liked the story, the performance was just as brilliant as it was in the last book, and most of the time I was very interested in what was going on but a few times I found myself frustrated and just wanted them to be honest and move forward a little quicker. It's my own personal opinion that these two didn't interest me as much for some reason. I know they had passion and love but it still felt a little lackluster to me, maybe because she was ill and it felt more focused on their issues than themselves as a couple of lot of the time.

But the Zsadist and Bella came into play. I have to tell you, I am PUMPED for the next book, Lover Awakened. I'm so excited to hear their story, and I can't wait to see how Bella melts Zsadist's frozen heart. Anyway, all-in-all, excellent writing, excellent performance, and loving seeing these characters come to life over time. I enjoy how these books have been done and how we learn more about these characters as it goes on. I hope Wrath and Beth are going to be involved a tad bit more going forward because they weren't in this one much and I love their strength and power as well as wanting to see what Wrath does as a ruler and how he handles it all. If you're on the fence about these books, do it. Spend the credits, or better yet get the romance package because I know at least a few of these are included. These characters have gotten under my skin. I root for them, I feel sad for them, I feel happy for them, I laugh at their quirks! The author's writing along with his performance has brought these characters to life and I've become immersed in the wonderful world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I liked how they were created to be so human even though they're another species, it's like the author spread out the vampire qualities and gave some of the scarier, unappealing ones to the Lessers.
One other thing though, what happened with Damien?! I need to know! I was so disappointed that he wasn't in this book and I hope that he resurfaces so Beth can meet him and he can fight with the brothers again. I just wonder in the timeline of all this where he is since he's not mentioned once as far as I heard. Does he have total amnesia and is just wandering around? I hope we find out. Either way, check this one out, it's an amazing listen.

Still going good!

I just listened to the first book and immediately got the second one. This one was just as good, did not disappoint at all! Can't wait to listen to book 3!

Perfect 2nd book in the series

I've read and listened to this one many times and it's a favorite. We delve deeper into the world Ward created and really get a sense of all the brothers. John Matthew is introduced. Great lead up to the next book.

I really liked this one. I couldn't stop listening. Each book in the series is individual.

Amazing read

Wasn't hard to keep my focus. This book took it all. I love Mary's spirit and Rages determination to love her no matter what. Even that tattoo 😏

Loved the narration

Enjoyed this a lot and I'm glad I decided on the audio version. Also got some good laughs. I would definitely recommend this book. Five thumps up!

This is a great continuation of the previous book. You’ll have to get the next one though if you want to know what happens to Bella though!
