Excellent reader!

I enjoyed this story and the reader made it fantastic! Good character development on a tale that’s been told time and time again.. old stubborn western men and women with a passionate love story. Even with that cliche it was fresh and enjoyable.

Very enjoyable western romance

The narrator made this book. One of the best I've ever listened to. I thought the voice for Sarah was a bit too mature for someone her age, but then again so were her actions and entire demeanor. Great story, great pace, lots of action, and kept you interested. Definitely worth the time and money! Not as much mystery as Nora Roberts usually has in her books, but this was probably the best I've read of her romances.

Narrator

For a western it was don very well, I very much enjoyed the narrator his voice was calming, full of excitement. I recommend this book, especially to those who love a western romance. Thank you both.

Set in the days of the Wild West

This is another love story but with a twist in a western town in the Wild West days. The primary characters are excellent and so is the narration

Too predictable

Typical of Nora’s other books you know everything about the story by the of chapter two. In this book it was a little earlier. Unlike her other books the female lead was weak and vulnerable and not enough research was done. Her stories are enjoyable because she spins a good yarn. The author just doesn’t know enough for a good yarn and the descriptions are weak and not believable. Stick to the current century- you just don’t know enough about the past. It was also odd listening to a male. Though I could see the appeal here (if I were a female). Except I just don’t think this reader had it in him. His voices-especially female- were just painfully wrong

Have read / listened to many of Nora Roberts books. I loved this one. Loved the narrator. Favorite male narrator I’ve heard. My roots are Southwest, country and rural. Brought it all in with romance and intrigue. Oh please make it a series!

Lawless

I love Nora Roberts western frontier books. This one was no different. A girl from the east and a gunslinger from the west meet. Sarah is such a strong willed person. I was ecstatic to hear that she wasn’t going to loose that strength. Todd Haberkorn was hard to listen to at first. By the third chapter I didn’t even notice. I really enjoyed his voice by the end of book.
