Loved it!

Great story and characters. Narrator was good too! I love these books in a series. It is nice to see what the other characters are up to.

Story good narrator so-so

The story is good but not as good as the first in the series. However, I'm not sure if it is because I couldn't stand the narrator or if the characters were not as developed. I'm still glad I downloaded it because I wanted to continue the series. I'm happy to see the 3rd book has a different narrator.

A Good Read

This is a nice continuation of the Buchanan clan. I like the way the characters cross between the books so you keep in touch with the old main characters and learn more about those who take the spotlight. This is light enough for an easy read, but has enough depth to keep you interested.

It Keeps Getting Better

Irresistible is the second installment of the Buchanan's. I must say I like Walker the most at this point. He's not as complicated with his grandmother issues as the others. His need to help and stay detached is familiar to me. I love the story Susan Mallery told. She managed to make both Walker and Alyssa relatable and endearing. Getting ready to listen to the next book.

Narrator was not good

Would you try another book from Susan Mallery and/or Cecelia Frontero?

I enjoyed listening to the story especially since I listened to the first one. But how and why would you change the narrator in the middle of a story. Cecelia Frontero I am not sure if this might be one of her first books but she ruined the story for me. In my opinion you just don't change narrators in the middle of a series. You are already used to the voices and it makes the book better when you can follow the sound of there voice throughout the series. Pretty good story but horrible reading narrator.

Can't get enough!

I loved this book! Susan Mallery is such an amazing author. The story was interesting and kept me wanting more. I wasn't crazy about the narrator, however the book was great!

Nice romance

Story about the second brother and a struggling single mother. I think I found my favorite character in the older lady neighbor. I feel terrible that I felt vindicated when Gloria was stricken by heart attack. But she was sooo terrible to the heroine that I felt she deserved it. I also have to say that Alyson and her mother not reconciliating instantly was a nice surprise.

Good Family Saga Series

What made the experience of listening to Irresistible the most enjoyable?

The story and characters were so believable. Often with romance novels, authors go overboard with the rich handsome Hero. Walker was believable, which made this novel very enjoyable. So far, Irresistible is the best book in the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Irresistible?

There were several memorable moments:1) Throughout the novel Zoe and Walker had their BONDING moments. It was memorable when Zoe realized what makes a great father and she asked Walker, "So, are you my daddy?" Walker said, "Yes" simply priceless.2)Gloria, the evil villain. In the middle of one of her evil villain rants, the woman has a heart attack, collapsed and broke her hip. DAMN!!!3)Namoi one of my favorites from book #1 returns. She kissed Walker and Elisa saw them. Elisa told Walker, "Kissing that Bitch"...You go girl. LOL, but those are my memorable moments.

What about Cecelia Frontero’s performance did you like?

I hate it when production changes narrators within a series. Cecelia did a great job. I know which character was speaking at all time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't intend to listen in one sitting, however I did. I wanted to know how it was going to end. And the story was very interesting not a dull moment.

Liked It!

About half-way through this one, I was going to review it as an "OK piece of fluff, like cotton candy". But as I got into it more, I liked it more and would get another by this author. The sex scenes are good, the narrator is great, and the characters are likeable.
