He is number one.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ellie

Which character – as performed by Vanessa Chambers – was your favorite?

She did well on all, Tiger needs a little work. But overall excellent.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This would need first rate actors mini-series HBO, none of those Nora Roberts type directors and actors. This has the potential to be a Spartacus type program if done correctly.

Any additional comments?

This is a must read/listen for all mature readers who like the fantasy type books. No teeny-hightschool characters here. People over the age of 25 adult fantasy with adult language and adult maturity. I took a risk here and I was so relieved when all the characters were adult. Thank you.

Enjoyable

Would you listen to Fury again? Why?

Not sure, it was good. But I would only listen again if I was out of new material - I didn't like it enough to want to listen just because.

Which character – as performed by Vanessa Chambers – was your favorite?

Fury - she definitely nailed the aggression and anger when necessary.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes but not in the way that was intended - I was a little turned off by the noncom aspect of the scene when he first "kidnaps" her and brings her back to his place. It was like bad touch and creepy all rolled into a very awkward scene there. The author goes on to state how "she wanted it" but it seriously left me a little unnerved by it - had there been any more of this type of nonsense in the book I would have walked away.

Sexy spin to Sci-Fi

I enjoyed this new series. I think the concept behind this series was really great. There were some parts that seemed to miss important details but overall this was a good listen. I really liked the tension between Ellie and Fury. It is intense and there were a few good plot twists. I think that there is a lot of potential for future stories. I will be continuing with this series because I think it could be very good. There was so much information to map out in the first book that I think the next book can only get better. You have to like the Sci-fi spin to enjoy this book. I think it is a good solid listen.

loved the story hate the narrator

I have to say that I have read this book MANY times. I love the series but I could hardly get past listening to this. The narrator made the men in the book sound like whiny nasaly adolescent geeks. Or old stuffy diplomats. There was no in between. I hated everytime a new male character would come on the scene. The story is great, kind of reminds me of Jessica Alba's tv show Dark Angel that came out when I was a teen.

Where does Fury rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have listened to a great number of audiobooks over the years and this one ranks way up on top. This is a new author for me and only decided to buy this book because someone I follow said how great it was. Then, it sat in my library forever before I actually listened to it. Wow ! Now I'm hooked.There was no easing into the story, no wading through the prologue or first chapter, no sitting on the edge of my seat in the beginning waiting for the plot to unfold. This book started out capturing my attention and held me through to the end.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't want to give anything way, no spoilers here, so I'll just say that the entire book was captivating. Ms. Dohner's imagination and creativity are a pleasure and privilege to behold. I was not only able to capture the essence of the main characters through her physical descriptions of each of them but could picture them through her exquisite detailed account of their movements, their voices, their actions.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where he is coming out of a drug-induced rage and is clinging to Ellie.

Any additional comments?

I think Vanessa Chambers did a good job narrating. I also believe as she continues to narrate this series she will only get better especially with the male voices.

D-A-M-N!.. Action pack scenes & sex!

WOW!!!! This story doesn't have any ethnic diversity or people of different races. Different species.. YES! The genetically altered people created from a money greed pharmaceutical company (that tried to make super humans ) and the individuals that try to make amends (gov) make an interesting story. Yes, yes, yes there is a "love" story with a former "inmate" & a former pharmaceutical staffer (double agent) But, the ACTION & fight scenes from wack job extremist & macho human males ego along with dealing with a "what to do with " attractions from a animal driven SEX GOD with a "child-like" innocences (with impulse control) obsessed enhanced male.. WOW.. I REALLY enjoyed this story.. I found myself yelling at the characters while driving & listening. I enjoyed the predicament the characters put themselves in & felt sorry for them at the same time.. Life experiences make people's personalities & if you grew up in a "lab" then, social skill needed to be a "normal adult" will be missing. Instinct might take over.. Excellent writing!! Voice was also good.. Bravo.. Please throw a brown or yellow skinned person in the mix. It could be a friend, security guard or police.. Somebody!! Us minorities notice stuff like that. Would REALLY like to be included.. Event in the background..BUT... KUDOS on the story.. BTW I would LOVE to be Fury's chew toy!!!!!.. That statement will keep me giggling for days.. thumbs up!

What did you like best about this story?

The backstory of the new species is compelling in that it makes them more relatable and gives the reader a strong sense of compassion for them.

What about Vanessa Chambers’s performance did you like?

I really love here voice; it has a sweet feminine quality without sounding too cutesy. I also love the way that she performs the male voices, as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but I've never felt that way about any audiobook. I enjoy taking breaks.

Just....HOT....

I can't decided between Fury and Slade - I'm in love.

This was an excellent listen, Laurann Dohner really knows how to keep me addicted to this series. Fury & Ellie were definitely made for each other. While listening to this book, I could feel the emotions that both Fury & Ellie were going though.

I cried when the NS women finally welcomed Ellie into their lives after the incident that happened between her & Fury. My favorite part of the book was when the Humans broke through the gate, and stormed the Women's Dorm. Ellie was so brave during this time, and she did everything she could to protect these NS women, she really proved herself to NS.

The book was full of actions/dramas, and of course Fury with his protective alpha instincts over Ellie was just sooooo hot.

Story love narration getting use to

Fury and his people have endured a lot . . . now, because of her (Ellie) action him and his people are free. But how free are they really. There are hate groups wanting nothing more than to take it all away from them.

Dohner has created a world that shows all the ugly of what greed of money and power do to people. It shows the lengths to which they will go to have what they want.
