Taryn Warner is a wolf shifter with extraordinary healing skills - and serious problems. First, her father is determined that she mate for life with a wolf shifter named Roscoe Weston, whom the feisty Taryn can’t stand. To make matters worse, she’s also been kidnapped by Trey Coleman, a dangerous alpha male from another pack. And as much as she wants to resist Trey, Taryn is incredibly, maddeningly attracted to him. When he makes her a tempting proposal that will benefit both of them, the strong-willed healer has to decide whether escaping an unwelcomed bond with Roscoe is worth the risks of mating with Trey, no matter how temporary their allegiance is intended to be.

This is not the first time I've looked over at my partner in the middle of a book and declared "This is Porn....", but this is probably the best time.
Usually books like this one, that are beginning to redefine both paranormal fantasy and the bodice ripper genre, are written so that I just want them to be over with so I can enjoy the good bits and stop cringing in between. Not true of this story!
There was enough interesting plot and non relationship tension to make this book a book I would have wanted to read even if it hadn't been for the INCREDIBLY steamy scenes between the two leads. There were also quite a few very funny lines and quips.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was that some of the secondary characters veered pretty far into "stick figures with a schtick" territory. Most of the time this was still fairly amusing, but sometimes I just really wanted them to shut up.
Jill Redfield did a great job of bringing across the main characters voice, and reading the steamier bits without distracting from what was going on. I always feel like the best narrators are the ones you don't notice, and so I guess she did a great job, because she only made the story better.
Overall, totally worth my credit, but I will not make the mistake of listening to any more of her books with my car windows down again! Hi Kids!
I have been happily married for 17 years, I have 3 children (12, 14, & 16), and 2 dogs. I am currently working on a 2nd degree. Life is chaotic and stressful, but I wouldn't change it. I am blessed and enjoying my life.
You know its a good book when you are grinning at the book by the time it gets to the second or third chapter. You know its a notch above good when you start checking the time left on the book (even before you get through the first part) and hoping that there was still lots and lots of time left! Yep, its officially the best book I have listened to so far this year. Terryn and Trey, as a couple just make me grin.
Not only was Suzanne Wright a wonderful story teller, but Jill Redfield is one of the best narrators I have ever listened to. There were times when I found myself wondering if the narrator was a male or female. When that happens, you have got to know she's good.
Oh and by the way.....lol......I am not even through with the book yet!!!! Headed to Amazon to see if she has written anything else :)
Wow! Paranormal lovers, remember this name: Suzanne Wright! I'd never heard of her before, but I've already started seeking out other work by this author. This book was unexpected and amazing. While it stays within the paranormal genre, it still felt fresh, in large part I think due to the fantastic characters.
Our heroine Taryn is sassy, sarcastic and often just plain rude. This is not, I suppose, unusual in the paranormal romance genre, and these very traits, more often than not, make me grind my teeth in frustration. Often these smart mouthed heroines sound like spoiled teenagers trying to prove they are tough, but that's not the case with Taryn. Somehow, Suzanne Wright makes it work. Taryn's dialogue comes across as witty, her sarcasm is more often than not hilarious.
Trey is an alpha male you can believe in. He truly follows his wolf instincts, and I really enjoyed that. No simpering human in wolf's clothing, Trey is all beast and brawn when the need arises. While it's true that, in this book, the heroine steals the show, she doesn't do so without a good deal of help from the hunky hero.
Yes, the sex is hot, and not for the faint hearted, but it is meaningful and well balanced in this book. While there's a good deal of hanky panky going on, it doesn't feel like a book full of unnecessary sex scenes, nor does the sex get repetitious as it does in some books. It flows naturally with the story line, and that is a rare thing indeed.
Jill Redfield, oh how do I sing her praises? Her pacing was excellent, and I really enjoyed her portrayal of Taryn. When reading humour, timing and delivery are everything, and she handles Taryn's character phenomenally well.
If you like paranormal romance, chances are you're going to love this book!
I just loved this story, its not for the sensitive. The sex scenes and dirty talk might put some off. But it didn't worry me. Both characters are strong minded, strong willed and fierce, so floaty frilly bedroom scenes wouldn't have worked. Tarryn had me in tears with her snarky comments. The bit with the elephant, then calling the stupid she wolf an STD but best of all was telling Greta to pull her lip over her head and swallow. It was too good.
Both characters have dealt with their respective traumas and its moulded them into shifters not to be underestimated. The pack members are a cohesive unit but filled with delightful characters.
The narration was seriously good too, Suzanne Wright has another book in this series, plus some vamp offerings. I hope these get recorded. I can't wait.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
I took a chance on this and I'm soooo glad I did - it captures you from Chapter 1 as Taryn, a fiesty Latent Werewolf (a Wereshifter who cannot shift), is kidnapped and made an offer she can't refuse by Trey, a mouthwatering sexy Alpha with attitude, (every good wereshifting book should have one) and the story heats up from there.
They have to deceive her father and her pack into believing that she and Trey are soul mates but in order to do this they have to go through some of the 'claiming' rituals (ahh shucks poor things!). It all backfires because they are lustfully attracted to each other and there's lots and lots (and lots) of sexual verbalisations about what he is going to do to her........ and BEWARE they are all graphically carried out.
So, if you're looking for a riveting hot paranormal romance that has strong kick-ass characters, lots of action, great sarcastic one liners that are so funny, an interesting addictive and well written plot with a few twists and, if that's not enough for you, then top it off with a talented narrator that brings to life a Wereworld that, once you visit it, you just won't be able to stay away - so I can't wait for Wicked Cravings Dante's story to come out.
Worth a credit? YES (even 2) - but my 'under $10 rule' of just buying it applied and I saved my credit for a more expensive (but maybe not so worthy) listen.
OK. I have to admit that this novel is very hot. The sex is very hot. The story is actually not too bad for a typical paranormal erotic romance novel. (I don't like formula novels - it's a love-hate thing for me. I am a romantic, but I don't agree with most of the formula story lines and long for stories that are more original.)
No comment, really. It's pretty easy to predict what an ending will be in this kind of novel.
I don't think I've heard her before. The narration was very good.
Um, well. I don't think I'll discuss it in public!
I was bothered by the possession / dominance of the story. This seems to be typical in most romance novels. Personally, I don't get it and I'm disturbed by the encouragement of painting women as being strong ---but in the end want to find a man to submit to and even if they verbally say they don't want something in the end they really do. This one really pushed that far with the whole Alpha Wolf male. I often found myself feeling a bit creeped out.
Say something about yourself!
Okay first off let me say the narration is done by the same woman who does Sylvia Days Crossfire series, so this book had me at word one, thank goodness there was an awesome plot to go with the great narration!
Secondly, I have to warn you, or entice you, that this book is full of vulgar hot steamy graphic scenes...which was great for me, but some people really don't like that, consider yourself warned!
The last warning I feel compelled to share is that if you don't like the B word when directed at a female then don't get this book, it is used about 1000 times, often in the appropriate context in my opinion but also as a word of endearment....I have a friend who would love the context of this book but hates that word so much I wouldn't recommend this book to her, what can I say it's her loss.
Great female lead, strong underestimated alpha females are always cool! Male lead is also an alpha, and in typical male fashion he is clueless as to how to handle this strong non submissive alpha woman, which makes for hot scenes, and a hot story.
I got this book during a sale, but I have to say it would have been worth a credit too! Can't wait to see the next one!
This is the one if you like humor, sex and a paranormal plot. This is not for you if you have any problems with raw, sexual language—though I’ve eagerly listened to more and, thus, find the amount here not much—and humor through snide interplay or insults between characters. For some, the heroine could be irritating b/c she’s very, very snide and so determined to appear bigger in nature, what some would call a hard a**. But I enjoyed her. It’s also a love story that’s plausible. I was sad to see there are no other audible books by this author. I really enjoyed this book, including the narrator. Her work was not the best I’ve heard, and I’ve heard a looooooooot of books. But she worked well with this content.
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
This book definitely followed the recipe for a great paranormal romance book - super sexy alpha males, kick-butt action, lots of steamy sex, awesome supporting characters and plenty of preternatural politics. Add to that great narration and some hilarious one liners and you get Feral Sins. What a great listen! I'm giving this one 4 stars for the snarky comments and hilarious one liners alone.
This book is not for the faint of heart or for those of you that shy away from steamy sex scenes. This one has an abundance of sex, dirty talk and then some. So know what your getting yourself into first.
I will listen to this book again - good mixture of strong story, humour and a hot scenes.
Taryan - strong lady - can kick butt, quick witted with a heart and a strong scene of right and wrong
Loved it - good character voices which don't change making it easy to tell who is speaking.
Loved the interactions between Taryn and Greta. Taryn's come-backs are wonderful - made me laugh out loud which really made my husband turn and look at me.
"Okay, but a bit predictable"
Strong characters and plausible banter.
Dropped right into an undeveloped fictional world where there are an awful lot of weres living openly alongside humans, in their own society. Would their females (presumably educated in the modern USA) really allow themselves to be passed around as if they were chattels? The female lead certainly doesn't seem like someone to tolerate it, so why should the other women?
I thought too much of the plot was given away early and, for me anyway, it dragged. And it was a disappointingly predictable plot.
Warm, emotive, lively
Disappointed, sounded far more promising than it turned out to be.
"Twilight and fifty Shades mix and blown out of the"
a very good listen although extremely graphic language, I have enjoyed the quirkiness of that author
the main characters Tray & Terin, are very sexually graphic so if that offends you this is not the set of books for you other wise a very good listen a definite hint of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray with a lot of fun in between
"woo hot and enjoyable"
I am half way through and thoroughly enjoying. Its on a par with the Riley Jensen series
I have listened to this book more than once. I love the story and the narrator is one of the best I have ever heard she brings joy to the humour and is equally good at any emotion the narrative requires.
The author's writing style is fresh and just appealed to me on every level. I laughed and still do laugh at the humour but the humour does not detract from the main storyline. I highly recommend any of this author's books.
"50 Shades with Wolves!!"
This is my first book that i have listened to from Susan Wright and will not be the last. i love the main female character Taryn Warner. she has some great lines. and the banter between her and Greta fantastic. the main male character Trey Coleman can be seen as very protective of Taryn, which she finds hard as she is a very strong willed person. there are some very steamy between the two of them. i enjoyed the narrator i found it easy to tell who was talking. i am just going to buy the next book as soon as i finish this review can't wait!!
I was abit reluctant to buy this book with it having a mix of reviews but I'm glad that I did the humour in this book had me laughing most the way through...there are alot of sex scene's in this book but it's a shifter book so I wouldn't expect anything less so if that's not ur thing this isn't the book for you ..... I enjoyed the book all the way through some books I find start ok but half way through take's a nose dive so I would definitely recommend for anyone after a fully rounded shifter book
"Too much sleazy porn, not enough story."
To be honest, I didn't get that far in, but when one character told another he was going to fill her with cum, I was too grossed out to listen any further. Shame - I quite liked the premise, and erotica, written well, can be fun, but this was just nasty.
"I really shouldnt have enjoyed this book but I did"
This book has a very shallow and predictable story line - easy to know exactly how it will all pan out. The Characters seem to be either evil baddies or wonderful good guys - its the sort of book I would normally not listen to at all. But the lead character Taryn is just great - a feisty lass with a wicked tongue and a lot of bottle - I stuck with the book because of her and I found myself caring about what happened. I just loved her sarcastic one liners.
Developed the lesser characters a bit more and given a bit more substance to the plot. A bit of suspense would have been nice - you really did know exactly how the book was going to pan out
No not yet but I thought she was perfect for this book. a rare case where I think having it narrated was actually better than reading a print copy she handled the timing of Taryns quips perfectly and even made the racy bedroom scenes entertaining with the way she acted out the voices.
It definitely made me laugh out loud in places and I really felt attached to Taryn - but cry - no the story was just too predictable
I found this book by accident as it was in the recommended section - Its not really my type and I since noticed its in the chick -lit and romance category - not really my thing normally. but I guess if you like a shallow story with a fair deal of bedroom action you will like it. I will probably try the next in the series but as I know it focuses on other characters I am not sure I will be hooked on the series - it was the lead character that kept me interested
loved it great story looking forward to the next book and what happens to the Pack
