I liked the book and listened to it in one sitting. But I hate when a book just ends and leaves you guessing. “Oh crap” Is there another book to this one? And then find out that there are 3 books. But why can't audible get all the books so we can get them all. Or at least let a person know that this is book 1 of 3. By the time audible gets book 2 and 3 I will have forgotten book 1. That's one down fall about listening to book that you have no idea that it’s only book 1 of 3. I will have to buy and read book 2 and 3 since I know audible won't get them for a long time if at all. But all in all I liked the 1st book. I read reviews on book 2 and they were not good. The reviews on book 3 seem to be a lot better. I guess I will have to wait and see once I read the 2nd and 3rd book for myself. I wish audible would somehow find a way to let people know that the book they are downloading is 1 of 3 books in a series. I will however read another book by Abbi to see if I liked it as much as book one. Book 2 is Never too far and book 3 is Forever Too Far.
I'm proud to be a bookaholic...addicted, obsessed, passionate!!! My favorite way to relax & escape reality....
I was enthralled from the beginning....just had cliffhangers when the next book isn't available. I still did enjoy this book and would recommend it if you like New Adult Romances!
High middle of the pack
Good sex scenes. Great ending.
Why do we not have the next book on Audible? Its been out since February. Now I actually have to buy it and READ it---which I really don't have time for! Audible get this one on audio please!
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
I have no idea why I liked this book, but I did. Despite the major plot holes and ridiculous storyline I still enjoyed this one. It hooked me from the start and I couldn’t stop listening. Unfortunately, there is no real ending with this book. I didn’t realize this was the start of another series so it ends with a big cliffhanger. I had planned to get the next book but it’s not available on Audible. What a bummer…
Overall I give this a 4 star rating since I really enjoyed it from start to (almost) finish.
It wasn't painful to listen to but not a great listen. I had nothing better to listen to while working so I listened to the entire book, other wise I would have given up on it part of the way through it.
I felt that the story was too immature. There was no real exploration of the characters, they just wanted each other for no explainable reason. I felt that the story was a decent outline of a what could have been a good story if the characters could have been allowed to develop over time.
I have read and listened to many books and this was just too weak of a story line to really like or enjoy.
Have listened to several of the other books by Abbie Glines and although New Adult is not really my cup of tea, I enjoyed the past books I listened to. Not this time. I actually could not finish listening so my review is not worth much. But the narrator for the female role whined, and I hated the female character so much, I did not finish! Sorry
I enjoy reading romance novels. I use hubby's amazon account which is why whenever I write I review, it shows his name. This is funny
Amazing, Heartfelt, Intense
I love all of Abbi Glines' books. This reminds me of Just For Now and While It Lasts. You have the bad boy hottie and the pretty good girl which almost seems so cliche but then BAM!!! Abbi puts the twists to the story that has you on the edge of your seat. I was swooning, falling in love, crying...I mean it was awesome.
My favorite character both in the audio and the book itself is Blaire. I love Jennifer Bronstein's narration of this. That's exactly how I picture Blaire to sound. I love the changes in her tone when shes narrating and the innocent sound to her voice which so reminds me of Blaire. It really delivers the emotions that the characters are feeling. Wonderfully done.
I'm so glad that they picked Jennifer Bronstein to narrate Blaire's POV. I have all of the audio books for the Seabreeze collection and the Vincent Boys and as much as I enjoyed the narrators for both series I am thankful for the change. I hope that for the next book, Fallen Too Far, they'll pick someone as awesome and fitting to Rush as Jennifer is to Blaire. I found that the male narrator for the Seabreeze and Vincent boys sounded a little too old to portray Beau, Sawyer, Cage, Preston etc etc.
I love audio books that the characters come to life and have me feeling as if I was there too.
This book was awesome... I was hooked and loved all the characters that were in the story. I had to find out if the end was the true ending... Its not! there are two more books out and Audibles make sure you get them ASAP! I loved Rush he was the bad boy that you try to change. I dont want to give anything away but trust the book is a great buy and I not mad I bought it. Its a relisten any time.
Not from author. Definitely yes from narrator; she had a fake southern accent that came and went, but she was good.
The characters had so much potential, and I enjoyed each and every one of them, but they fell flat because they weren't given enough story to work with. I wanted more depth and juice, more dirt in the gossip, more...I don't know... just more. The sex scenes were NOT hot. It's like this book couldn't decide if it wanted to be a sexy romance or an interesting coming of age, so it failed at both. If I knew that the story were to get more involved in the following books, I may want to listen, but I'd rather find another book at this point.
Abbi can really write a great story I am hooked .and so looking forward to the next instalment 10/10.
"Heartrenching & beautiful"
Part 1 of Blaire & Rushes story. Sexy, sweet and full of emotion I loved it. The narrator was wonderful her performance added to a great story.
"It's a beautiful story."
I just wished that the series had (male/female) narrators from the start. But I loved it! The narrator did a great job, too. 😊
