A New York Times Best Seller

To want what you’re not supposed to have....

She is only 19. She is his new stepfather’s daughter. She is still nave and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother. But for 24-year-old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida Gulf Coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change, and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother, who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that... Blaire just may have fallen too far.

A good kliché

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

yep, it would work as one quite well

Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a new way at looking at romance and comming of age stories, then this isn't what you want, but if you want a kliché ridden romance then it's great

Wasn't expecting it to end like THAT!

What did you like best about Fallen Too Far? What did you like least?

It's a great romance story, well told. I like that. I did NOT like the way it ended. (Spoiler alert!) Romances are supposed to end happy.

Would you ever listen to anything by Abbi Glines again?

Not if it's a sad ending

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Alabama meets Rosemary Beach, Florida

Friend zoned by the brother from a another mother. He was the rock stars son and she was the sweet innocent step sister.

When the country Alabama girl moves to Rosemary Beach, Florida she gets more than she bargained for.

Blair was a simple character not the high maintenance types from Rosemary Beach. She had a natural beauty that didn’t require make-up or designer clothes. Blair had it in her head that she was poor white trash with a lacking body when measured up against the girls from Rosemary Beach.

Rush was a complex character who had emotional issues knotted up in a tight ball. He had sex appeal and used his looks to gain the females population attention.

This was a character driven story with Rockstars, groupies, rich playboys, promiscuous ladies, and mooches all casted together to create one dysfunctional group of individuals.

Narrator: Jennifer Bronstein does a solo performance of all the characters in this character driven story. Her vocal style, tone of voice and Alabama accent blended well together. The sound quality was good with no outside disturbances. Jennifer had a good distinction between character voices. Although, I would have loved a male narrator performing Rush’s voice Jennifer made it work. She was a good articulator, she had me believing she enjoyed this story as much as I did.

Overall: parents with money and fame were unconcerned about the consequences of having unprotected sex while leaving behind innocent children who wanted to know who their parents were. I was confused trying to sort which offspring was produced by which adult. There were too many siblings tied together by some careless adults.

Usually emotions run high in a story except in this one hormones ran high. Blair and Rush couldn’t control the sexual urges they had for one another despite who their parents were. It’s so easy to get swept away by the brewing sexual tension between a Rush and Blair that the underlying issue gets forgotten.

I almost wish I hadn’t revisited this book. Yet I’m pleased with Jennifer’s narration. Her accented voice was too cute to pass up. She more than made up for the ill-fitted feelings I had in regards to this forbidden taboo situation between siblings. Even if it was a grey area.

book is better

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not reccomend the audio to a friend.

What didn’t you like about Jennifer Bronstein’s performance?

I did not like the narrator for this. Although the souther accent was part of the character, the performer slipped in and out of it throughout the book.

Do you think Fallen Too Far needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I would not if the same performer narrates this book

Another partial book - pleeeeeeeeeeezzzzzz -

I think that there should definitely be something in the marketing that lets you know that a book is written in multiple parts and you have to buy each one individually. This trend is ridiculous. I feel completely ripped off because now I either do not listen to the whole story or pay 3 times as much as I thought because I now know it is in 3 parts - or I guess it could be more and they just haven't published all of the parts. Really?

Alrigh YA story

Any additional comments?

This is the typical bad-boy meets innocent girl young adult story. There were some interesting layers to Blaire's and Rush's connection that combined with her recent issues brought some flavor to the story. However, the last third of the book turned into a soap opera and the plot was simply unbelievable. Good try overall.
