One night was all it took...one night to ruin everything I thought I knew. From the outside, I had the perfect lifestyle. Wealthy fiancé, blossoming career, amazing friends. I wasn't looking to get married yet, but when William-"Manhattan's royalty"-charmed his way into my life, I couldn't deny the security and comfort that overcame me. To society, I was the girl only after his money. I was the party-goer who managed to seduce a man twice my age to have the lifestyle some could only dream of. I was every magazine's cliché of what a gold-digging whore was. I wanted to prove them wrong-that our love was real and that I wasn't that girl. But then everything changed. One wrong decision. One unfaithful night. One haunting reality. Perhaps they were right. Contains mature themes.

I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
Mac was happily engaged and living with a secretive mega rich much older businessman called William whose priorities were work-work-work and then her and, because of her traumatic childhood, that wasn't a problem for her..... she needed stability and security. One night, when yet again William was away, she went out on a Batchelorette Party and got drunk, had a hot one night stand and, in the morning, couldn't remember a thing about it. But she really felt the sexual chemistry between her and this unknown sexy man that had 'rocked her world' the night before and his name was Alex however she just wanted to forget it ever happened, to slink back home and to never see him again.
Now you know these two were going to meet up again because fate hadn't finished toying with them and when they eventually do meet it was groundbreaking, earth shattering and tense. The sexy drool worthy Alex, and the history/chemistry that he and Mac shared, was intense and frightening for Mac because it threatened everything she believed in. Alex becomes totally focussed and determined he wants to win Mac by any means necessary.... by tempting her with his buff body, by his heartfelt pleas of devotion, by caring for her, supporting her and for showing her that he wasn't going to give up.... well all that and some great sex too. There was a lovely intense sexual pull between Alex and Mac which was delicious but she fought it for the sake of her engagement. Sadly, she was oblivious that there were secrets yet to be spilled, devastation yet to rock her world, heartbreak yet to be felt and emotional turmoil yet to be overcome..... but through it all Alex hoped, dreamed and waited.
Worth a credit? Yes definitely because this was a love story that defied so much in order to blossom and bloom. Told from Mac's POV with only the Epilogue told from Alex's POV, a very good narrator who did a great job, plenty of sex, lots of romance and passion and a saccharin sweet HEA.
I really didn't have any expectations on this book at first!!! when I read the reviews at first i was not sure if I should get it or not but oh my god thanks God I did because it was so beautiful so sexy so hot, Brooke Cumberland is one of my new favorite author n it blew my mind away it's a book you do not want to put down u get hook u want to finish it in one day... I definitely recommend this book so worth the Credit trust me u will love it..
I loved everything about this audiobook ...this story it's so beautiful the narrator she was great 💜
It was a good story with hot sex scenes. The twist was sort of predictable but still good on how the author put it together. Dirty talk is quite good/hot too!
Yes. It's not like any other book I have in my library. Believe it or not I know someone that lived through parts of this story. No reporters involved
I must confess the sex was hot. The narrator delivered. Someone bring me a pitcher of ice water
5 years after they meet. I was so happy.
Where should I start. This book had my emotions all over the place. I was leaning toward Alex using Mac to get back at his father. Just when I thought I was right I was left a bit confused. I'll explain. Mac hears Alex on the phone say what a good lay she was. This to me becomes the elephant in the room. Everybody finds out what is going on and reporters are everywhere. The elephant is still in the room. His dad wants her back and Alex wants her back and the elephant is still in the room. Her emotions are all over the place like mine. She still doesn't give a damn that the man talked about her like she was just a piece of @ss. In the end the elephant stays in the room. That was frustrating for me. Now the ending was awesome. I like how the author gave us a look into the future in details. And yes the elephant never left the room. However I was happy that the book wasn't a cliffhanger. The narrator was pretty good. I had to warm up to her. By chapter 3 I was ok. I would listen to other books narrated by her.
Woman cheats on fabulous fiancé.
Woman finds out she cheated on fiancée with fiancee son.
Woman finds out fiancé a jerk. (does not justify her cheating as she did not know he was a jerk when she cheated.)
Woman continues to cheat on fiancé with son. They all lived in the same house.
Woman is hurt that both fiancé and his son lied. Woman leaves them both.
Woman decides to forgive ex fiancé son.
All three skeezy lying cheating people decide to forgive and have happy lives.
I liked the writing style and the narrator but story was annoying . Everyone was lying, cheating and skeezy.
