Explicit and an acquired taste

That said, sometimes you’re looking for something good and raunchy. This is the ticket. Narrator sounds too old for the female character but her male characters feel spot on. And she acts all the dialogue- no phoning it in. Again. An acquired taste I think for both author and narrator. I’ll give the next book a try.

Good book

If you love sexy cowboys and rodeos, get this book. Narrators are good also. I'm on to the next book!

Why was the attempted rape not addressed sloppy finish loose ends all over the place!

Hotter than fire and Sweeter than Honey

Okay we all know by know what we are getting when James sets up a love triangle right? Wrong not this time. Oh yes the three-ways are there and the melt your panties sex with both partners. What's different this time? The characters are different, the men not just hot and highhanded as you have come to expect but sweet and likable.

Two best friends discover they are seeing the same girl neither wants to give up the girl or wreck decades of friendship. Sexually adventurous girl Lainie sees a chance to have both men and the sexual adventure of lifetime when they offer to share her until she decides which man is the right man for her. Crazy? Yes. Hot? Oh yes! But as the story plays out you see the love growing between Lainie and Hank and Kyle's love for his friend Hank when he sees that developing too.

No this is not the typical insert stud and and girl with a naughty streak dying to get out James book. It has heart sweetness and stunning depth. Spoiler alert they keep getting better too. I know because this book made me want another in the series which resulted in binge listening. Why? Because they are hot fiery and sweet with more depth than I've come to expect in this genre.

Terrible narrator!!

This story has the worst narrator I’ve ever heard. Also, narrators, including this one, should really know how to properly pronounce the words that they are reading. The most difficult word in romance novels seems to be feral as it’s the one word that is most commonly misspoken.

DOUBLE TROUBLE SOUNDS LIKE FUN!

Aside from the mediocre narration--I couldn't get into her raspy voice--this was a good book. LJ knows her way around sexy cowboy romance, and this is a great start to what I'm sure will be a good series!

What does Scarlet Chase bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Scarlet Chase does a great job giving each character their own voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but it took me a few evenings!

absolutely loved Hank and Laineys story

I have read the book but hot Damn its so much better on audiobooks and the narrator was fantastic.

Narrator voice sounds too old for characters' ages. The voice Doesn't do the story justice

Struggled with the first half.....BUT,......

Struggled with the first half; felt like the writing was a little elementary! However, by the second half I was hook, line, and sinker!!! Hank = YUMMY!!!
