Publisher's summary

What if a "Once in a Lifetime" could happen twice? Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable. When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia's life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soul mate. Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia's grief begins to lift - but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her. But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?

Excellent book!

Any additional comments?

Excellent book - this was an audio book for me. I really enjoyed this one. Dahlia's relationship with Ben, Dahlia's tragic past, River's and Dahlia's instant, soul deep attraction.

Started out great, ended even better. Loved it!

WOW! What a story!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book was so heart breaking especially when you can somewhat relate to the pain. KK did a great job of keeping you wanting to know more and more about the characters, while thinking it really is too good to be true. River not answering his phone made me wonder if he was trying to hide something which kept me guessing....... and the comment he made about wondering if Caleb knew what River knew did about Ben.......

What does Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Veronica and Christian both did a great job!

HOT and on the EDGE- my favorite combo

Where does Connected rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved every second of this book. The performance was top notch. Female reader really performed the book ad it made it that much more alive. Male reader's voice was just HO. I could have listened all day. Especially the end where you get more information. Throughout the whole book I knew I smelt something foul with Ben! I was right. Love the twists and interconnections I sense with the characters pasts and future and can't waitto fin out as more is revealed in the next book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

River - hands down

Which character – as performed by Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox – was your favorite?

River. and Ben!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hard to decide which book. but I was hurting for Dahlia when she was hurting and on edge for River when he felt insecure of his relationship with Dahlia. Both readers really allowed you to connect to the characters

Any additional comments?

Eagerly awaiting the 2nd book to find out what happens.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

What the freak was that? ! The story just Ends? 11 hours I will never get back and now I'm roped in to buying the next book to find out what happens? I hate this book for that reason but loved it for everything else. The book was great up until the last 2 or 3 chapters, then it just made a sharp left and punched me in the face and said HA HA SUCKER!

If you love cliffhangers this will be the best book you've ever read. this is one of the best/worst cliffhanger books I've ever read. Also just fyi the male narrator only reads the last couple chapters so if you're looking for a dual POV narrative, this is not it. Definitely worth a credit/$ but only if you plan to invest in the next book and maybe the whole series.

Better than I expected from description!

This book was AWESOME!! Okay, so I was crying my eyes out through the first third, and honestly, wanted to quit several times or skip ahead because it was so painful, but hold on!!! Redemption awaits! Dahlia is an amazing woman, she grows and matures right before our eyes. River is just what she needs when she needs him. I don't want to say too much because though I searched for spoilers just to get through the first few chapters to know it would all be okay, I won't do that to you! My heart broke and was put back together, then shocked at the end. This is a HUGE cliffhanger, but thankfully the second book is already out so just buy both at the same time and save yourself the five minutes of sheer stress at the end trying to buy it and download it while you are freaking out.

There are amazing sub-characters in this book, and as we will see in future this will be a series involving some of these other characters. The first two books that are out now do bring us to the conclusion of this couple, so don't despair. The next books to come are about other couples. I personally can not handle a cliffhanger, so I wait until the conclusions are released (usually).

The first part of the book is from Dahlia's POV and the second part (maybe last third?) is from River's POV, then we get an epilogue from Ben.

I LOVE to get both POV's in a book, doesn't always happen and I'm okay with that, but I do love it. Though honestly, Christian Foxes' female voices always sound a bit strange to me, but I deal because his male voice is good.

About the narrator: Okay, so I thought she did well, her voice was good, inflections were good and all that, this seems a bit petty to me and I hate that but I noticed so I will mention it. I could hear her breaths, strange I know, but a few times I was distracted wondering if she had asthma. I mean no disrespect in that, I just thought that the breaths were louder than they should have been and I think that is probably usually dealt with in production and editing so not her fault as much as an editing issue.

Just loved it! Pulls you in and takes you on an emotional ride. Such a great story with all the steamy stuff too, perfect balance. I also really liked that we are able to listen through different character points of view.

Don't Expect to Sleep Until You Are Done

I started this one yesterday afternoon and was up all night listening to it. I just could not stop. It is mostly a romance between Dahlia and River and her learning to love again after loss. I usually like my romances light but Kim Karr did a good job with the moving the story along and engaging me with Dahlia's connection to River. There is some mystery to the story as well as you wait for some early story line to play out, but then you get to the end and realize there is a BOOK 2!! I thought this was a stand alone and book 2 would be the story of one of the River's siblings, now I have to decide whether to read the kindle version or wait for the audio book to come out next week.

Either way this one is a great listen.

Overall great story & narration

Any additional comments?

Why am I always late to the party? I knew that Connected had great reviews, my friends loved it, so why the hell did I wait so long to finally read it? I am kicking myself but so glad that I finally found the time to show up.

The narration was done well, I really liked the voice of Dahlia, I think it matched the characters personality perfectly. River's narration while good made him sound a bit older than I pictured him in my head (maybe it was the deep voice) but I still liked that there were the dual voices. Anyway.... as I briefly mentioned above the story was awesome, the characters well thought out, the emotions described perfectly (I may have shed a tear or two), the steam factor was HOT! and the plot which I originally thought would be your typical broken girl fixed by sexy soulful rocker turned out to have so much more depth, heart and one crazy twist.

Love this story! Perfect choice for narrators!

This book is so good, but honestly these narrators were the perfect choice! They brought Dahlia and River to life and gave them so much depth and dimension. I felt like I was immersed in their story in a way just reading it you aren’t.

This is my first time listening to the story but I’ve previously read and loved this book. I highly recommend this one, both book and audio format. It’s so good and I already can’t wait to dive into the next one in this format as well. One of my all time favorites!
