Publisher's summary

One of the fiercest soldiers the Phrixians have ever produced, Maris Sulle has been an outsider his whole life. He grew up with a secret that cost him everything - his birthright, his family, his military career. He's only ever had one love, and Maris has sacrificed that to see his best friend reunited with the woman he loves. His good deed done, he now feels lost and adrift. Even though his new family does its best to include him, he's once again on the outside looking in.

Ture has spent his life hiding from everyone around him while trying desperately to fit in. Badly hurt by everyone he's ever known, he trusts no one except his best friend - and honestly, he can't understand why he trusts her. Nor can he believe her when she describes a loyalty between friends the likes of which he’s never seen.

But in his darkest hour, Ture is saved by a hero he thought only existed in novels, a man every bit as scarred and mistrusting as he is and who has no interest in being dragged into another relationship with anyone.

Having spent his life as a living study of doomed relationships, Maris is well aware of the fiasco that must inevitably follow courtship. Still, there is something about Ture he can't resist - something that won't let him walk away even when he knows he should.

And when old enemies return to threaten them both, these two must either stand together or die alone.

I wish there were a way to make this longer

One of my favorite stories in this series. I want to read more about Maris but in glad that we're don't get bogged down in extra mess.

very good

liked the story, and i loved that she gave a same sex couple a book. it was a little short when compared to the othes in the series. 8t could of use an epilogue.
the performance was good. holter always does a good job.

It could have gone on

Where does Cloak & Silence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love the character of Maris and wasn't ready for this book to end. It was great that there was stuff about Maris that I had not know and felt like I got to know more about him, I was just delighted that he now has some one to call his own.

What great writing and I hope that in future books Ture may get training in knife throwing since he is a Chef and that could be his protection.
Graham always does a great job as narrator and hope to listen to many more books narrated by him.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Maris went after Ture when Ture was kidnapped

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I don't know what the tag line would be but I would love to see the League books made into a move.

Action packed gay romance

One of my favorites even though I'm a hetero female. So much emotional growth mixed with action and family drama.

Well played man love

I really like Sherrilyn Kenyon’s books and I especially enjoyed the writing and handling of the same sex relationship. I deeply cared about Ture and Maris and was pleased that they found their happily ever after.

I would classify this as a novella .

A short sweet story about Maris and Ture. I have read almost everything Sherrilyn Kenyon has written and she hasn't disappointed me yet. I will admit that it was a little slow and then felt rushed to finish, I felt that this was a disadvantage to the book. This is a m/m romance and may be the reason it was a shorter book, not sure why she would write the book and then short change the story it could have been. I liked both characters enough that I think they could have easily had a longer book. Since it has been a while since I read the last book in the series I had to rack my brain around all the old characters it brought up from other books in this series. I bought this as a kindle book first and then the whispersync version for a total of 5.98 so if you don't want to spend a full credit on it here's another option.

A bit dramatic but so adorable!

Would you consider the audio edition of Cloak & Silence to be better than the print version?

With this book I think you could go either the audio or print route.

What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Graham did a fantastic job of bringing the emotion to forefront of every scene. My only complaint was that the differences in the two main characters voices weren't different enough, so in dialogue heavy scenes I did find myself a bit confused as to who was saying what. Oddly enough thoug every other character was totally discernable!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The adorableness of Ture's and Maris's interactions had me ahhhhh in almost continuously. Then again sometimes the OVER dramatics had me rolling me eyes as well!
