When everything went violent between SpaceTech and the Aunare, he was off planet. Returning Earth to save us would’ve meant war, and apparently my life wasn’t worth the risk. He abandoned me and my mother here, and so far, we’ve survived. But every day is hard. Whenever things get truly bad, I close my eyes and see myself on a beach, hear a voice calling out my true name—the one I can never say aloud - and I know wherever that is, whoever that is, it’s home.

I have to find my way home somehow. One day, my luck will end. I have to leave Earth and SpaceTech territory before they find me.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no one is coming to save me. Not the Aunare. Not my father. No one is coming. I’m going to have to find a way to save myself.

Excellent book!

I don't often review books. But this book was even better than I thought it would be. I was very moved. I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Great story

Great storyline waiting for the next book in the series good narrator amazing job done

Amazing book for a good series

I think that this book is a book that will get you hooked and wanting to listen to the rest of the five book series. I read the first four books before the final book came out and when I got around to reading the last book after it came out I was astonished at how well the author closes up the series. I truly recommend reading this book if you are in to a YA series about a half human half alien.

Excellent Narration - Lackluster Story

I'm torn between great narration and a mediocre (at best) story. The MC was not very likable to me. There was one part where I thought the MC took charge and I was like "now we get to the good part" and I was left wanting. It seemed to me that the MC was all over the place. A strong, selfless character in some places and a self-centered brat in others. I really wanted to like it but in the end it feel short.

Kudos to Frankie Corzo for getting me through it. If it hadn't been for the excellent performance, I would have stopped listening half-way through.

Kept me listening from beginning to end. A bit too much suffering, but worth it.

Buy it now or regret it later!

If you like sci fi/ space adventure/ romance and a smart woman kicking butt then you have found the right series. Spend that credit people and thank me later!

One dimensional

Clearly an author short on ideas, trying to spin out a short story into a series. Disappointing
