Chester Peyton, the Marquess of Astwick, has never forgotten his first love. Nor has he ever gotten over her. But now, thirteen years later, time has come for him to finally settle down and do his duty as far as both his title and his dragon of a mother are concerned. Everything would be so much easier if Chet's heart didn't still belong to the enchanting Scot he gave it to once upon a time.
After following her late husband's regiment from one end of the continent to the other, Lady Hannah Campbell returns to London a very different woman than the lass she once was. With her two sons in tow, she now has to navigate the waters of the ton, which seem more foreign than the lands she has traversed the last dozen years. And all the while, she has to keep hidden the scandalous secret that made her flee England so very long ago.

I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
It was going so well - all the characters were in place for an intimate Dinner Party for a few guests that was really going to rock the boat for some of the ton and the scandalous secrets were finally going to be revealed. Then it went from chapter 5 the build-up to Chapter 6 the aftermath and fall-out of the dinner party - WHAT I replayed and replayed to make sure I hadn't fallen asleep, been abducted by aliens or just wasn't concentrating but it wasn't me, then I played it on my computer, then I checked the length but the whole dinner party chapter was missed out.
So, it was a sweet very very short romance but sadly lacking in the Scandalous Secret which probably is a recording oversight which I will report to Audible but if its still only 1hr 13mins long then I wouldn't bother.
Amazingly Ava Stone wrote a story lacking nothing, although lasting a little over an hour. I was so engrossed in the story, that I was surprised when it ended, but it was complete at that. It takes a talented author, in my opinion, to accomplish what Ava Stone did with this short but sweet audio-book.
Stevie Zimmerman performed well.
I found it entertaining, and would recommend it.
