Publisher's summary

Summer is heating up for reluctant psychic Riley Thorn and her handsome private investigator boyfriend, Nick Santiago. First, her disapproving grandmother arrives determined to make Riley take her powers seriously or face the wrath of “the Guild”. Then there’s the homicide detective, who needs her help figuring out who murdered the well-dressed corpse in the walk-in closet.

Nick’s got his own hands full with a tricky missing person case, and his parents who want to know why he didn’t tell them about his live-in girlfriend. Then there’s the fact that he’s still the tiniest bit stressed about Riley almost getting murdered earlier that summer. The last thing he wants is her getting involved in another investigation.

Things go from bad to worse when the body count starts stacking up, the meet-the-parents dinner goes horribly wrong, and their elderly roommate is up to no good...dressed like a mime.

To top it off, Riley is forced to return to Channel 50 on official police business to question her spray-tanned news anchor ex-husband and his new weather girl fiancée.

The trouble comes to a head when Riley receives a warning from the killer: Back off, or she’s next. Someone has to solve these murders before she becomes the next corpse.

Glitter beware!

Riley Thorn and Nick Santiago may have to be one of my favorite Lucy Score couples (Brick & Remi from Forever Never is the other). This story keeps you guessing on the who did it. I love the progression of Riley and Nick’s relationship throughout the book. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and smh (why cant Riley and & Nick ever get their well deserved alone time?!- the roof scene… had me laughing and shaking my head). If you loved the first book, you will love this book as well. There is a bit of a cliffhanger that will get you excited for book 3 whenever it is released!

Natalie Duke is back as narrator. She does her thing and is great! You will be laughing throughout!

Laughed and guffawed , so good!

I was excited to read another in this series and was not disappointed! It kept me company while cleaning, mowing and yuck exercising. Surprisingly they went by so quickly and I was still feeling happy. Who could ask for more. Onward to 1 more....

Cute series

This is such a different type of series by Lucy Score and the change is fun. The older neighbors are a bit too much for me. Hopefully they will be less front and center throughout the series—they are too much of an annoying distraction for me (but others may disagree).

All I can think about is the when the next book is going to come out. I love everything about the Riley Thorn series from the plot to the characters to the narration. Speaking of the narration — this narrator is fantastic and I couldn’t imagine anyone else reading these books. These books are simply amazing. Period.

Loved it

After listening to the first
Two books I am hooked. Loved the characters the stories are plausible ( as much as a psychic detective can be) and entertaining.
I highly recommend this series.
