Story
I have to stop replaying the one night I spent with my rival. Trouble is, that white-hot encounter with the other quarterback answered a lot of questions I’ve had about myself, but it also led me into this mess where he hates me. I never showed up for our second date. Since, well, life happened, and the worst part is he’ll never know how much that night meant to me.

Getting into the vampire-only detective unit was the easy part. What’s going to be more difficult is dealing with my new partner - an ancient vampire who keeps threatening to eat me. The unit has never had a human in it. Marcus - or, as I like to call him: Fangy McFangface - would really prefer to keep it that way. He’s grumpy, short-tempered, and broody, but I have a way with words, and I know he’s starting to like me, even if he swears he’s not.

Story
Noah: Rook Oliveira stumbled into my life when I was eleven years old. Being the scrawny new kid at school with a mouth full of braces, I never expected to become unlikely best friends with the most popular boy in seventh grade. At eighteen, I gathered the courage to tell him I was gay and admitted I'd never kissed a guy. He offered to be my first. Straight or not, that kiss had burned with nearly tangible fire and tattooed the moment on my heart. I've spent the last four years trying to forget it.

But when he comes crashing back into my life, or rather my apartment - the one he still owns - I'm defenseless against him. Just when I think I might finally get my happily ever after, a web of secrets and betrayal threaten to unravel the hope I finally found in his arms. And I'm faced with the soul-baring question: Is loving Zee worth the torment he inflicts?

Adrian is my best friend. We live together, hang out, and he’s the best cake taste tester I could want. Hugs are the norm, along with cuddles while watching horror films. I need someone to protect me during the scary bits, so why not Adrian? He’s almost a foot taller than me, so he makes a good armchair too. Life is exactly the way I like it until Adrian’s sister drops a bombshell that leaves me questioning everything I think I know about myself and my straight best friend. Can one kiss change everything? I’m about to find out.

Publisher's summary
“Careful there, Robbie.” My sweater obscured part of my sight, and my fogged-up glasses managed to take care of the rest of it, but I’d recognize that voice anywhere, even after eight long years. It was deeper now, a bit more gravelly, but it most definitely belonged to the guy I’d spent most of my early teenage years pining after. My first - and unrequited - love.
“Troy?” I exclaimed, blinking my confusion as he helped pull my sweater the rest of the way off. Troy Jacobs' gorgeous lips twitched in amusement. “You remember me. Didn’t know if you would."
“Oh, I remember you,” I mumbled. Hard to forget your first kiss - or the first guy you ever loved.
A 9,600 word short story about first love, second chances, and family.

Story
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: a lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Story
The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

Story
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Short and sweet
Obviously this a a short story, but for all that it really is quite nice. While it could be made into a longer book I like that it’s kept short. There is no giant argument or misunderstanding, just two guys who meet after years apart and realize the feelings are still there.
The narrator is also good and keeps the voices natural so you can stay in the story.

A sweet second chance story
This is a very short but sweet story about first love, second chances and an allover feel-good romance. The narration is good and Kenneth Obi has a very calming voice that makes listening to stories such a good experience.

Love her stories!
I always love Crystal Lacy's stories. They are consistently a pick-me-up. I put one on whenever I am stressed or I want my day to be a bit brighter. This little one was so sweet! Exactly what I was looking for.

This is so a sweet short story that just makes me happy! I love Troy and Robbie! Then to have Kenneth Odi bring this beautifully sweet short to life had me smiling throughout this story. This beautiful second chance at love is amazing for a pick me up.

Holiday Short
Wasn't sure what type of story to expect. This is a new to me author, though I am familiar with the narrators work. This was a very sweet—and really hot—short listen.
Robbie has had a crush on Troy since they were teens. When a family tragedy and school break throw them back together again, Robbie discovers the crush may not have been one sided.

Short and Sweet
Just a nice little feel good, fulfilling M/M story. I prefer dual POV usually, but it did work to have only one POV for this short story. I recommend:)

Sweet and short!
This was a really cute, sweet , second-chance holiday love story. A little feels thrown in with the sweet and it made for an enjoyable, quick listen.
I feel like if I say much more this review will be as long as the audio!
My first listen with Kenneth Obi as the narrator- I'll be looking into more of his books.

Sweet story....
Such a sucker for HEA. I loved this little short story and in the crevices of my soul, I know that Robbie and Troy are still together, breeding parrots. Sweet and loving!

Suprisingly Good Find!
I was browsing for a short holiday story and was surprised to find this author. I was surprised to find the story was set in Hawaii which was unusual. However, it did not distract from the story and being from Hawaii myself I found the family relationships very believable. A short story of a long time crush turning into something more, the story moved quickly and was thoroughly enjoyable. My biggest complainant was the age difference between the main characters and the fact they were so young when they first met. But that's just a personal preference thing.

Together Again
This a short but sweet holiday romance that picks up between two men 8 years later in their lives. I love the way there were able to reconnect and have things come out even better.
