Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle offers simple language in a question and answer format. The words themselves are the signposts to guide you on your journey. There are new discoveries to be made along the way: you are not your mind, you can find your way out of psychological pain, authentic human power is found by surrendering to the Now. When you become fully present and accepting of what is, you open yourself to the transforming experience of The Power of Now.

"One of the best books to come along in years. Every sentence rings with truth and power." (Deepak Chopra)
"A reminder to be truly present in our own lives and liberated from our past and future. It can transform your thinking." (O: The Oprah Magazine)
I know good content when my mind starts to feel uncomfortable and fearful of the content. It's happend before with other spiritual teachings that now I could easily resite back, but when new to me made my ego tremble in discomfort. I look forward to listening to this audio until I am one with the teachings. Highly recommended.
**about Tolle's voice; yes it takes a little getting used to, but nothing a grown adult can't get over.
After 30 years of meditation, I don't expect to learn much from a book on the subject. I read this book for the first time 2 years ago, and I keep listening over and over. His narration puts me to sleep, but the content is so rich that I am fine with that. I think deeply abou the points he makes. Anyone who is interested in a spiritual life should read this book!
Eckhart's rich delivery and wisdom has the potential to hold you and to allow yourself to hold "you" as you walk through this journey of life. His meanings behind his words are such a guiding force for me.
Thank you, Eckhart Tolle.
A friend of mine strongly recommended this book, she said even Oprah has this book on her bed side table, so she wanted me to get the audio version of this book, and that is why I basically joined this Audible website - which by the way was a great opportunity for me to listen to other great books.
The narration felt so bad at first, because whenever I tried to listen to this book, I fell asleep. His voice is unusually and incredibly calm, so very calm and monotonous from the beginning to the end, and the weird bell rang every so often which was really annoying, so I had to try to listen to it several times and I sort of got used to it.
It is not a simple nor easy listen, I found it rather difficult to understand what he was trying to say.
Frankly, I would much prefer the motivational books, this book was a bit too spiritual for me. I am aware of the fact that all the inspiring motivational books talk about the spiritual stuff, but this book contains too much of it. But I must admit that he did say some pretty good things, so I am going to listen to it again when I have some more free time.
This is just my humble opinion, as Dr. Napoleon Hill said opinions are without value, and my opinion is not worthy of consideration. I just wanted to warn you about the narration and the contents of the book.
If you go for this book, I hope you enjoy this book more than I did. And who knows if I could truely get what Eckhart meant, I would say something totally different!
For those ready to hear, this is a game changer. It's cool if you're not ready, but if you are, your gut tells you loud and clear. This book is almost is meditation.
Everyone MUST read or listen to this book. If we all did, and embraced the peacefulness within it, the world just might be a better place...
Stills the mind, gives a glimpse of sanity. I am thankful for this audio book.
I really had to concentrate to keep up with this book. It is very interesting and thought provoking and I definitely learned a very new way to look at my world and myself. You really need a quiet place with no distractions when listening so you can absorb the message. It is one of those books that you need to read/listen to more than once to fully benefit from. I intend to do just that. Unique perspective.
This is the best book I have ever listened to...ever! Tolle has some incredible insights, and he delivers his message in a wonderfully clear, organized and tangible way. I love his modest, clear and honest way of passing information on. I have listened to this book four times in the past month and it will be something I listen to over and over again. Worth every cent! Highly recommended!
