This is not only read very well... the best! It is also such a good read. I read the book, watched the Movie from Netflix, but this was the best. I listen to a lot of books from both Audible, and from I Tunes. I put this book on the very top of the list of books I've read, or listened to. So much history, and such an inspirational work. Like nothing I've ever read. This is a book I will give as a gift to many friend both like minded and non commited Christions / believers in Christ my Lord. No matter your faith, I highly recommed this book to any reader.
I really enjoyed this book when I read it a few years ago, so I decided to try it on Audible. I'm glad I did, I couldn't wait to listen every day! Francine Rivers is a gifted story teller and Kate Forbes did a terrific job of drawing me in.
I highly recommend "The Last Sin Eater" to anyone looking for a satisfying "read".
Excellent story well read and definately worth buying. I know I will listen to this one again and again.
I didn't read the print version.
I loved the interesting turns this story took. The history written in was fabulous.
No I haven't. But would like to!
I think I did both at different times.
Really enjoyed this book but it was hard for me to get into it at first. Miss Rivers has such a wonderful way of telling the gospel. Liked the folklore stories and how you can feel it in your heart when her words pierce your heart with the truth. Thank you for all the good reads. I am a true fan and enjoy all your books!!
I was really looking forward to hearing this book after the good reviews. I was a bit disappointed as it was a very slow start to me. The narrator's voice bugged me initially so that may have been part of the problem. I also wasn't sure where the story was going until I was several hours in. I ended up really getting into it, though, so I'm glad I kept listening. It was worth it!
I read this book quite a few years ago and loved it so much I considered it one of the best Christian books I had ever read, so I decided to try the Audible version. While I still loved this book in audio, I guess I have changed a lot since first reading it. I loved the raw emotional journey you go on but this time I really didn't care for the mystical aspects (Lilybet, etc.) and I also didn't like how they went about finding the truth by using dishonest means, even at the very end when they are ringing the death bell to gather everyone. None of those things ruined it for me though. It was still a heartbreaking and beautiful story that I would highly recommend.
Forbes' narrating is amazing! I can't imagine reading it myself and enjoying it as much.
Redeeming Love was maybe my favorite Rivers book so far, but easy to see why this was a winner.
Such expression with the accents--I loved it.
I am a book-aholic, this was my very first audio book and I really enjoyed being able to listen as I worked…(type A personality) So yes, the audio was better for me this go round.
A favorite character would be had to choose…I enjoyed each one (with the exception of the really bad guy)
She was flawless!
