Dr. M. Scott Peck has inspired millions by combining the deepest insights of psychiatry with those of religion. In this second of a three volume audio series based on his best-selling book People of the Lie, Dr. Peck once again integrates religious teaching with the science of psychology as he offers hope for healing one of society's most persistent failings: human evil.
In this second volume, Dr. Peck uses real-life examples to demonstrate how we can be dramatically affected by the presence of evil in our relationships and provides insight on how we can overcome it.
Told in Dr. Peck's warm and accessible style, People of the Lie, Volume 2 continues his groundbreaking and compelling exploration of the essence of evil, and enhances our ability to understand and to cope with this age-old problem.

If you've read or studied cluster B personality disorders or are experienced in dealing with the disordered; the cases are very obvious to you. If you're a newbie, it's eye opening. I'm not a clinical psychologist, but I could offer more insight into evil, sabotage, gaslighting and various other behaviors of the evil/ disordered, just from a lifetime of personal experiences with people. Frankly, I found it very boring. C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters offers more insight into how evil operates.
Such an eye opening journey to know and gave TRUTH and to FINALLY confront the Lie!!!! Part of our Spiritual warfare is to NOT be ignorant to the enemy's devices!!! Empower yourselves with this awesome read!!!!
shocking, enlightening, empowering
Peck's ability to define Malignant Narcissistic Personality Disorder so effectively. I recognized my mother and, after four decades, was able to start down the road of recovery.
Recommended for those who, like myself, always felt 'crazy' and constantly in turmoil and honestly couldn't figure out why. My mother has MNDP and her abuse will always resonate. But without Peck's book, I would've gone to my grave thinking it was all my fault.
Thus book has an eternal effect on me, because I was able to reconsider and correct the same issues that Billie had, I recognized in me! The Lord, my God, has pierced my heart with the Holy Spirit! I am now cable in seeing the lies that I have been told and once believed!
My only complaint is that it was too short. I love the way the author walks the reader through individual situations. Each situation helps the reader to understand the dynamic to which the author refers.
