Had me at Dayton Ohio
I have never read anything by Bev Jenkins and man was I impressed. This story had me so enthralled as if it was a movie. Then to learn Max had ties to Ohio, my home state blew me away. I took this journey with Max, Doc and Ruby and Ossie. I pictured this stallion as Tamara Dobson from Cleopatra Jones film. I’m looking forward to many more of Ms Jenkins books. What a page turning thriller.

If you want romantic story lines with suspenseful interludes, Beverly Jenkins is your author! First started listening to her historic romance novels and have fallen in love with her modern novels ( ie the descendants of the historic romance novel characters). Love this author and can’t wait to read more!

“Jinga” and “Storm”… yesssss
This is my second book by Beverly Jenkins and I love the story line and how she makes powerful black women the main characters. I’m not real big on romance novels but I love the combo of suspense, thriller, psychological drama added with romance and I’m sold. Can’t wait for more books.
I’m adding all of them to my collection. Good read/listen

Captivating
This is the 3rd Beverly Jenkins mystery, and I don't think I can get enough. The narration performance was awesome. I used these reads while traveling because the mysterious, though somewhat predictable nature kept me focused and awake. Good read!
