Publisher's summary

Decisions, decisions . . . life presents us with so many, big and small. How can we confidently make choices that bring us true happiness? The life of the virtues holds the key, and among those virtues, prudence holds the reins.

No, this isn't your grandmother's definition of prudence. This virtue actually inspires practical wisdom, allowing us to choose well and to bring order into our lives. In Prudence: Choose Confidently, Live Boldly, Fr. Gregory Pine, OP, aims to work prudence back into the conversation and to explain how it can transform us along our path toward what really matters.

In the face of fleeting emotions and conflicting convictions, learn how prudence will help you find wholeness, happiness, and freedom.

Outstanding Advice for an Age of Indecision

For those living in the current of a flaky and indecisive age, this book is a Godsend. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a book on virtue as exciting.

Thomistic Virtue Ethics

Basically virtue ethics of Saint Thomas Aquinas (a Dominican) as... translated... by a Dominican - that is, super academic examination of the definitions and qualities and considerations regarding personal everyday choices and the effect Prudence has on them as a moral virtue, from beginning, middle, during and after the perspectives of making choices and decisions.
I think Fr. Gregory Pine (author) is a genius and excellent speaker (highly recommend his podcasts), and he writes almost exactly as he speaks.... Sadly it seems the narrator couldn't muster the same energy or style, although he did a fine job, the flow doesn't stick quite how it could or should had Fr. Gregory Pine read or narrated this. But if you're into academic virtue ethics, this is your book right here!
