I enjoyed it

This was a pretty good read. A combination of Jurassic Park, Predator, and Dino crisis. I'm very glad I took the recommendation from DangerVille! I'm very much hopping the rest of the series is to be released in audiobook, I'd buy it and listen to it!

Primitive War: Worth Your Time

Dinosaurs eating humans in the Vietnam war. You may think the premise is too silly to make a good story, but you may be pleasantly surprised if you take the time to read it. It's very realistic in its portrayal of mental illness, how the government would respond to a situation like this, the dinosaurs themselves, and war, The characters are deep, the dinosaurs are awesome, just listen to it. if I had to critique one thing it's that the excuse for dinosaurs being in Vietnam is very lame. Other than that, I heavily enjoyed this book and I cannot wait for the audiobooks of primitive war 2 and primitive war dispatches.

The darker Jurassic park

Honestly read the graphic novel first (art is amazing) and wanted to explore through audio book as well. A great story with people who act like people. The greys of the world are evident and truly hope the sequel is as good.

Dread & Gravity

I loved in the most morbid way possible you really feel the just bleakness of being hunted and nobody is coming to save these people ....its was also a very raw war story which you don't hear very often ....the narrator is a absolute banger you instinctively connect that voice to the setting and he does a good mix for the characters

Loved the dark tone and how well the mix of the Vietnam war and dinosaur horror went into this book wish the second book would come to audible

definitely awesome but has some flaws

really like the story even though I was hesitant at first to get it. I'm really glad I stepped into this genre and I'm looking forward for the next book.

the negatives weren't many but part of this audio book hype was the narration and Wayne June does have a great voice. however, it was annoying that Eli sounded like some stereotypical 19th century gold miner and so does Leon. it was hard to take the characters serious because how June read their parts made them seem cartoonish. it seems Mr. June doesn't do a southern accent very well. Also, Xavier was supposed to be a half native American that grew up in the woods of Maine but sounded like JFK. but other than that, his narration was awesome.

the authors tended to recycle metaphors and analogies but it wasn't too terrible.

I really enjoyed hearing Pettus' descriptions of facial expressions and human interactions. I often found myself making the faces according to his description as some kind of confirmation as i would hear them.

cool series!

Perfect Dinosaur Horror

I have to admit, this was a very satisfying story to listen to. Just visualizing how powerless humanity is against the dinosaurs is quite chilling. I can’t help but wonder if there is a sequel, because I definitely want to hear more.
