Fun Middle Grade

A children's book both children and adults will enjoy! Eleven-year-old Tilly lost her mom as a baby, and no one seemingly knows what happened to her. Tilly grew up above her grandparents' bookstore (I'm not jealous or anything!), so she is fairly well-read! What she doesn't know is that she is a part of a secret family line of Bookwonderers! People with the ability to jump into books and live within the pages. Tilly and her best friend soon find themselves book hoping, and quickly realizing that it's not all fun and games. If you lose your book, you could be trapped in the story. If you send yourself into a dangerous scene, you are in very real danger. You (temporarily) write yourself into the story, so the characters interact with you, as you become a part of the story!

Of course, not all is what it seems, and another, dangerous, bookwonderer is following our young explorers!

Great

Entertaining with no ugly parts. Engaging for an adult, but gentle enough for kids who are easily scared. The narrator had a lovely cadence.

Captivating! I am looking forward to the rest of the series

Captivating for my daughters and me. The concept of bookwanering let to several great conversations about books we have previously read. I look forward to sharing the series with my daughters.

Laurie S.

Ive never read anything by this author and thought id try this book. Really enjoyed the story line. Tilly lives with her grandparents in London who own a bookstore called Pages and Co. When she sees her grandparents having conversations with characters out of books she decides she has to see if she can travel through books also.
